You've Got This Tip Top Macaron

Here is the new set, You've Got this, on page 113 again.
The "scratchy" background is stamped in the new
in-color Mint Macaron.
The focal image is Mossy Meadow, with Tip Top Taupe card base.
Add a little 1 inch Dotted Lace Trim and it's complete.

Old and New

This card combines the retired Blooming with Kindess
set with new 2015-16 In-Colors (Mint Macaron, Watercolor
Wonder and Delightful Dijon).  The flower was stamped
in Watercolor Wonder and I used an Aqua Painter to
pull color across the petals, then highlighting with the Dijon.
I used the new Boho Chic
Textured Embossing Folder to add interest to the card base.

New Catalog Now Live!

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=101600
The new 2015-2016 Catalog is now LIVE!
You can review an on-line version HERE.

This card uses a new set on page 113, called
You've Got This.  It includes a really nice "scratchy" background
image that enables you to "color in" the flower,
or create a stand alone background.  It's a great set,
with excellent sentiments.

This sample also presents one of the new 2015-17 In-Colors;
Tip Top Taupe.  It pairs really well with Blushing Bride!

Impressionistic Wetlands

Yep, we're bringing you another Watercoolor Challenge.
This one is a photo inspiration challenge from Kath!
Here is our challenge.  It is a lovely, colorful image!

Currently, we have an American Impressionists Exhibit
showing at our local Art Institute.  I love this art style, so it was
stuck in my head when I created this card.  Plus, I needed some
kind of "bird influence."

So here is my challenge card, using the Wetlands set.
First, I sponged color on Watercolor Paper.
Then, rather than spritzing the card with water,
I sprayed water on a stampin sponge and
"pounced" it on the paper.  This created a more controlled,
mottled texture.  Next, I stamped the images and again
pounced and distorted with a wet sponge. Using a sponge
gave me the ability to create distortions and blending
where I wanted it, while leaving other areas more distinct.

I hope that you have enjoyed my offering.  Please

so you don't miss the other cool projects!
