Stamp Off Wishing You Well Christmas Pines

Hey friends, Susan, Buffy and I are back!
This week the Stamp Off Challenge is a
product challenge.

Today, we are doing a Ribbon Challenge.
I like this challenge because Stampin' Up! offers
so many delicious ribbons and twine.

Of course, my favorite ribbon is the 1/4" Copper Trim
on page 200.  This copper trim enables different looks
because you can leave it gathered, or stretch it out for a
more webbed look.   I'm sorry that I couldn't get a better
picture, to show off the Copper embossed sentiment
from Christmas Pines (p 96), or the sheen of the
Copper Trim.

For the wreath, I used the Wishing You Well set on
page 35 of the Holiday Catalog.  The Cherry Cobbler
flakes come from the Christmas Pines Set.
The Wood Textures DSP (p 191) door is layered
on to Mossy Meadow.  I realize that the dark colors
are hard to photograph, but I love the richness.

It's now time to click to Buffy and Susan's blogs,
so that you can see how they used ribbon on their
challenge cards!

Acrylic Paint Tree

The other day, it was cool enough to sit on my
front porch and entertain myself.  I decided to pull
out some acrylic paint and some canvas that Stampin' Up!
used to sell.  I cut the 12x12 canvas down to card size
and proceeded to mess around.  I am no artist, but I
do enjoy playing with color.  These are some of my
favorite colors, because of how vibrant they are.
Thanks for looking!

Waterfront Palms

The Waterfront set on page 149 always relaxes me.
It is what I would call a laid back set, that enables
you to go in different directions and still come up
with a great looking card.
The palm trees or huts do not need to be placed
in some kind of strict pattern, and if you want,
you can even make purple palm trees.
I think that is the fun of this set.
No matter the color scheme, it makes
happy cards!
