Stamp Off Inspiring Iris on Ornate Layers

Susan, Buffy and I continue our Stamp Off challenge, although I know that Susan has most of her stamping supplies packed up!
I will admit to being an introvert, so hanging
out at home, crafting,  is totally in my wheel house.

For this challenge, we are featuring flowers.  We had
some wonderful Easter flower displays, followed closely
by cold weather!

I continue to enjoy using the Ornate Layers dies, and what
better background for a flower?!  I felt that the
Inspiring Iris set on page 111 had kind of a fluffy look,
that went well with the Poppy Parade Ornate frame.
I did a bit of coloring with Stampin' Blends and ran the
card base through the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder.
This was a pretty quick card to put together, and I
decided to omit the sentiment so that I could grab it
when I needed a card with a floral theme.

Thank you for stopping by and please trot on over to
check out the flower projects offered by Buffy and Susan!

Noble Peacock with Good Morning Magnolia

Every once in a while, I have to pull out my
Noble Peacock stamp set (page 26) with coordinating
Detailed Peacock dies.  In this example, I layered the
velum peacock over Highland Heather, which was then
layered over some Subtles 6x6 Designer Series Paper.
The sentiment comes form Good Morning Magnolia on
page 38, cut out with the die from Smooth Sailing (p 195).
I love using that die with sentiments, as the shape is
sort of rectangular, but without the sharp corners.

Inspiring Iris

Inspiring Iris (page 111) is one of my favorite go-to sets.
The images are lovely, fun to color and perfect for cards
that have that watercolor look.  I added a layer of
See a Silhouette DSP to incorporate more color.
