Gingham Gala DSP with Well Written

My friend Susan is featuring simple cards, including

use of Designer Series Paper (DSP).  That put a bug

in my head, so I had to play with the Gingham Gala

Designer Series Paper on (Occasions) page 35.  This

card sketch is an easy way to use up excess DSP strips,

that may or may not be of equal widths.

I added the coordinating SAB Organdy Ribbon found

on page 7 of the SAB catalog.   I attached bows, but I'm

not positive that I like them.  

The sentiment comes from the Well Written 

Framelits Dies on (Occasions) page 27.  I took the

"birthday" cutout and removed "birth", so make

it a more general greeting.

Bloom by Bloom with Well Written Framelits

This card features the Bloom By Bloom Occasions set

on page 25.  It is a very interesting flower set, that I had

a chance to "borrow" when stamping with my friend Mary.

It gives a 3-d appearance when stamped, because of the

large, loosely formed petals.

The vines, sentiment and butterflies on either side of the 

focal image were created with dies from the 

Well Written Framelits Dies on page 27.  This is an

extensive collection of dies, that coordinates with the

Well Said Cling set (containing 51 stamps!) and

can be purchased as a bundle, with 10% off.

I hope that everyone is safe and warm.  We got 7-8 

inches of snow and the roads are pretty miserable.

Driving tends to feel like sledding on the roadways!

A friend went over my walks and drive 3 times

with her snowblower, but those darn plows are

so good at dumping chunks in my driveway!!
