Painted Petals

I appreciate sets that lead to a quick, clean card.
Painted Petals on p 19 of the Occasions Mini is one of
those sets.  It is kind of intuitive.
The 2013-15 In-color Baker's Twine enables artists to
add a coordinated flair to a card, that finishes it off!

Snowy Day Dino

It's cold and snowy here today, so I went for this
cheery little guy, from the Little Buddy Birthday set
on page 89 of the annual catalog.

WCC17 Valentine Challenge

This is a Valentine Challenge.
My card is kind of an "off-beat" valentine,
as I went a bit vintage.  I was feeling the Spring Flowers
Embossing Folder (p 19 in the Occasions Mini catalog)
a bit more than hearts for this project.

I used the Perfect Pennants set (p 16 of the main catty) paired with
the coordinating Banners Framelits to create the sentiments.
The background involved a combination of the
Spring Flowers EF and the Dictionary background stamp
(stamped AFTER the layer was run through the embossing folder).
I really like the look of the deeply embossed leaves and flowers,
that pop when they are sponged.

Thank you for looking at my challenge card.
Please be sure to check out the other artist submissions
at the Watercooler Challenge site!

WCC16 CASE the Occasions Catalog

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca/

Are you ready for another Watercooler Challenge??
I sure hope so.
This challenge is a "CASE the Occasions Catalog" challenge.

My card actually has 2 sources of inspiration.
The first is the "Celebrate" card on page 10 of the
Occasions 2015 catalog.  I really like the look of
Coastal Cabana, combined with black and white
(the card on page 10 uses a Bermuda Bay).
The other source of inspiration is a flap card by
LeeAnn Greff at flowerbug.typepad.com.
I used the Big Day SAB set to emboss white embossing powder
on the new Chalkboard card stock (p 25) and then colored
the embossed image with Blendabilities.
The image is punched out with a 2 1/2 inch circle punch.
I used the Starburst Framelits (love them!) to create
a cutout on the card front.
The image was then layered on to the Whisper White strip inside the card.

Were I to make another one of these cards,
I would used a lighter Blendabilities color,
as opposed to the Crumb Cake that turned out so dark.
I hope that you enjoyed this project!

Something for Baby

Sorry that I've been MIA.  I've got a bad cold
and haven't been feeling like doing much of anything!
I hope you enjoy this Something for Baby card.
