Pierced Blooms in 2021-23 In Colors

This is one of the times of the Stampin' Up! year that brings
demonstrators both JOY and frustration.  We LOVE new
rubber, but are broken hearted when our favorite
sets and dies retire.

This year these changes come earlier, as SU has
changed it's calendar.  That is a good thing, because we will
have more specials and earlier access to Holiday product.

We also get a new set of In Colors, starting May 4th.  Susan
graciously created this pallet of the new In colors for me.
I used them for the card above, featuring the
Pierced Blooms dies (which will carry over to the new catalog)
and the retiring Well Said dies.  I made this a "happy"
card because I LOVE these new In Colors, as I tend
to enjoy greens and peach.  They are a wonderful addition
to our current color line.

The new In Colors are featured in the left hand column.

Fine Floral DSP with So Sentimental Set

The Fine Floral Designer Series paper in the Jan-June 2021
catalog is wonderful.  Pairing it with the coordinating
Golden Garden Designer Series Acetate (page 21) makes for
an even more elegant look.  In this example, I flipped the
Acetate and placed in on the other side of the coordinating
piece of DSP.  The pinks and golds really go well together.

I sued the retiring So Sentimental Stamp set (page 74),
embossing it with Gold Embossing power, and cut it out
with the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly dies (not retiring)
on page 179.  This is a very quick card to create.

Decorative Mask Version Two

Last Friday Buffy, Susan and I did a Decorative Masks
Challenge.  This is another card that I made for this challenge.
I used a Blending Brush to create the Basic Pattern stencil designs
and then cut the frame out with the Ornate Layers Dies.
The sentiment from the retiring Butterfly Wishes was
cut out with the Potted Succulent Dies.  I added some
Gold Leafing to give it some sparkle!

Stamp Off Decorative Mask Snailed It

Susan, Buffy and I are hosting another Stamp Off
Challenge!  Today, our challenge is to use the Basic Pattern
Decorative Masks on page 146.

I literally made 3 cards for this challenge, as I was on an
ick streak.  Sometimes, when crafting, you just can't get an idea
across the line.  Although garden slugs can be ick, a snail
from the Snailed It set (p 55) will always elevate a card!

The Snail Dies were used to create the silver foil frame and
sentiment.  The snail was colored with Stampin' Blends.

I think that you will totally enjoy the cards made by
Buffy and Susan, for our Decorative Masks Challenge!

Wreath Builder Happy Easter

This is the Easter card that I sent to a number of people.
I had to use Arrange a Wreath set (p 127) and the coordinating
Wreath Builder Dies (p 173), because this WONDERFUL
bundle is retiring.  It makes me so sad because this is one of
my go-to products.  When using these dies, I usually put a piece
of waxed paper between the die and the cardstock, so the cardstock
is easy to remove.  I cut the sentiment out with the
Stitched So Sweetly Dies on page 127.

I hope that this week, culminating in Easter, is special
for you and your family.

Hey Chick Easter Card

I need to post some Easter cards this week.  Of course, I had
to make a card using the Hey Chick set, with coordinating
Hey Chick Dies.  They really are perfect for that friend with
a strange sense of humor.  I paired it with eggs from the
(soon to retire) Arrange a Wreath with coordinating Wreath
Builder Dies.   The Peony Garden DSP and the
In Good Taste DSP (p 148) made good background layers.
