II Dasher with Shimmer Paint Highlights

This is my old faithful Dasher stamp from page 208 of the SU catalog.  The cardstock colors for this project were Night of Navy, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke.   I enjoy rich Christmas colors.  The Dasher image was inked with White Craft ink and then embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder (it's hard to see the sparkle from this photograph).  The Big Shot Large Scallop Die was used to cut out a scallop, which was then run thru the Petals A Plenty Big Shot embossing folder found on page 21 of the Holiday Mini.  I then cut off a portion of the scallop to offset it on the card.  The snowflakes from Snow Swirled and sponged edges were produced with the Platinum Shimmer paint from page 27 of the Holiday Mini.

The Shimmer paints dry VERY quickly.  The Champaign color shimmer paint is very transparent when applied to cardstock, while Platinum and White are much more opaque colors.  Sponge daubers (page 192) are used to apply the Shimmer Paint to stamps or cardstock.

Happy Labor Day!

Jackie
