Greetings crafting friends. Susan, Buffy and I are
back for our Friday Stamp Off Challenge!
This week, we are featuring our favorite new SU
Designer Series Papers. There a number of packs
to pick from, on pages 187-189, so let the fun begin.
I LOVE the new Wood Textures DSP pack on page 187.
The pack of 6x6 papers features different wood textures,
in shades that work well with different cardstock colors,
or work together. They are stunning. In this example,
I cut up pieces into 1 inch widths, and glued them into
a ship lap configuration. I love the ship lap look in homes,
and found that it works great on cards, too!
I debated using the grey shaded
piece of wood, but decided that they all worked together.
I tried different cardstock, and decided that the
Copper Foil sheet (p 194) was the best choice for the
Happy Birthday Thinlits die (on page 213). It blended with
the Wood Textures, but still stood out. I built it up by layering it on a die cut of Early Espresso, to add more contrast with the Wood Textures DSP.
1/4 inch Copper Trim (p 199) worked well with the
color scheme and added more texture to the card.
blogs, to see what they have done with this challenge.
I'm curious as to whether we all selected the same,
or different DSP packs. Now's your time to find out!

Wow! I kept looking at this card, saying, "Wait...I don't have that DSP pattern in my stack." So clever and creative, Jackie. And the foil is perfect. Awesome job!
