and I are doing a wonderful challenge,
thanks to Buffy.
This is a Tic Tac Toe color challenge. I selected
the horizontal row in the middle; Pumpkin Pie,
Shaded Spruce and Daffodil Delight.
I hate to start on a negative note, but it has been a frustrating
week. We've had steady rain for a week now
(ok, rain is better than snow, I will agree), and I
(ok, rain is better than snow, I will agree), and I
had a nasty bout of the stomach flu Monday night. I think
that I got the flu from Buffy's granddaughter Amelia, even if
there is no evidence that germs can hop from blog to blog.
I needed something to pick me up, so immediately
grabbed my Build a Bike Framelits on page 216.
I knew that I wanted to use the splotches from Beautiful
Blizzard on page 39 of the Holiday Mini, behind
the bike. I added Shaded Spruce Wheels from the
Chase your Dreams Framelits (p 216) and star hubs
on the bike from the Starlight Thinlits on page 220.
Lastly, the sentiment comes from Varied Vases
on page 45.
Hopefully I haven't depressed readers with this post!
Please keep on hopping over to check out what
Susan and Buffy have done with this challenge!

This is a great card, Jackie. I love the splotches behind the bike and the wheels look amazing!
This is such a cute card, Jackie! The colors really make the bike stand out, and the little dooflotchies in the handle bars (forget what they're called) are adorable. I'm so sorry Amelia got you sick. Hope you're feeling better! (This is a great pick-me-up card, though!)
Oh my gosh - you certainly bounced back from your illness, Jackie! (sorry to hear about that, but glad you're feeling better). I love the colour splotches behind the bike - it looks like it just zoomed through a pile of leaves, and sent them flying! So many great touches - this bike is super special!
