Vintage Dress Up

Let's face it, I'm not much of a vintage
style card maker.  I lean towards
clean and simple.  I do like the vintage look, I
just have a harder time producing the look.

The Dress Up Framelit is very helpful in
this endeavor.  The cut-outs can be used to
produce any style card or scrapbook page.

I also wanted to experiment with flowers.  The larger
flower was produced with the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch
on page 16 of the Spring Mini.  I punched 3 flowers,
scrunched them up,  peeled the 2 layers apart revealing
the suede-like inner material.  The 6 layers were
piled together, poked and held together with a brad.
I repeated the process for the 2 smaller flowers with
punches from the Boho Punch.

The buttons were coated with Crystal Effects to make
them look shiny.

Dress Up with Apothecary Art Framelit

Well, the Dress Up Framelit series will continue!
I can't stop creating mini designer dresses.
This project uses the Twitterpated DSP for the dress,
a different pattern for the background layer and
Riding Hood Red card stock for the jacket.

To make the jacket,  cut 2 pieces/copies
of the dress, in a color that coordinates with the base.
The picture below shows how I positioned the
Apothecary Art Framelit to produce the
the jacket front.

"Trim" 2 jacket fronts with the Apothecary Art framelit
positioned as shown (reverse framelit position for the
right jacket side).  Glue them together
and use the Adorning Accents Border Edgelit
to trim the bottomAdhere the jacket to the
dress, accent with Rhinestone buttons and your
dress is complete.

The sentiment is from Ciao Baby, punched out with
the SAB Petite Curly Label Punch.
the Marina Mist card base was embossed with
the Framed Tulips Folder and the card was assembled.

I hope that you enjoy!

Llama Spring Hop 2013!

Welcome to another Llama Hop!!
Baby, it's a good one.  Don't you love the new
Spring Mini and SAB items!

You've likely arrived here from Buffy's Blog
and enjoyed her wonderful projects!

Here are my contributions:

Ok, this fish just cracks me up.  I used to enjoy
fishing, so had to make a fish card for this hop.
The International Bazaar DSP banners are intended
to look like some kind of underwater growth
attracting fishy attention.

Colors:  International Bazaar DSP,
Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White

Other:  Markers, Rhinestone eye, dimensionals

This card is my version of a "formal"

many cute cards and projects.
