I made this card on Wednesday. That would be the
day that temps were below zero and windchill was
-27º. My calendar indicated my monthly apt for
my hair color. I likely could have kept the apt,
but I drive home with wet hair, wrapped in a plastic
hair net. It's a long story, but I use chemical free
organic henna hair dye. Given the two step process,
I do the final rinse at home. I just could not tempt the
fates, by driving home 20 miles with
a wet head, covered with henna hair dye.
So, I spent part of the day enjoying some stamping
time. It was very pleasant, and I managed to create
some cards for family birthday packs and someone
undergoing breast cancer surgery.
Today also happens to be my Mom's 90th birthday.
This is not the card that I sent to her, but I needed to
post a birthday card today, in her honor!
This card used a selection of Occasions Catalog Products:
-Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper on page 35
-Well Written Framelits Dies on page 27
Plus the following from the Annual Catty:
-Stitched Shapes Framelits on page 220
- Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on page 223
I like making use of those pesky scraps of Designer Series Paper.
I just glued the scraps to a piece of cardstock and then cut it out

I love this card. It is such a fun, happy card. I love the strips of DSP.
This is so cute, Jackie! Love the gingham circle, and the little rhinestone dots for "i"s and "eyes." Happy birthday to you lovely mom!!
