WWC-35 Anything Goes Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca/

Welcome to Marsha's "Anything Goes" challenge.
Simply put, this challenge is anything you want it to be.
A technique, 3-D, scrapbook, mixed media... anything goes.

I think that you'll find that the Watercooler artists
have created a collection of really fun samples.

My project for this challenge is a technique card.
I don't know the name of this technique but I learned
it years ago.  I'd forgotten about it until I was going through
some old sample cards.
For this card, I brayered a sheet of Shimmer paper with Mellon Mambo on one half and Calypso Coral on the other. Then I stamped with the dragon fly and spatter stamps from Awesomely Artistic (page 125).   I cut this layer into thirds and flipped the middle strip.  These strips were then mounted on a layer
of Basic Black c/s.  I used the sentiment from Tin of Cards
(page 110) and stamped it on the panels.
I wrapped the entire panel with Gold Metalic Baker's Twine
(page 158) and tied that off with a piece of Gold
Metalic Thread (page 159).
Layer that section on to Calypso Coral, add pearls
 and the card is complete.

Click to go check out the other artist interpretations
of this challenge, on the Watercooler Wednesday site.
Please join us for this challenge...
So what are you going to create?

Vintage Leaves Fun Fold

I can't say enough about the Vintage Leaves set on
page 88, and the Holiday Catalog Lighthearted Leaves
set on page 44. The sentiments that accompany this set are beautiful. They both coordinate with the Leaflets
Framelits Dies on page 172 of the regular catalog.

In this example, I used the Hello You Thinlits on page
172 of the regular catalog for the sentiment.  The sentiment is mounted on a Lots of Labels Framelits layer. The dragon fly
is taken from the Awesomely Artistic set on page 125.
The colors used included Hello Honey, Cajun Craze
and Mossy Meadow.
Here are the c/s measurements for this project:
c/s 4 1/4 by 11
score at 2 1/2, 4, 7 and 81/2
