Butterfly with Butterfly Basics Set

This card combines the Butterfly Basics set with the
Butterflies Thinlits on page 172.  I also added a tail to the
butterfly with the Tin of Cards set (p 110).
Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow and
Crumb Cake were dragged across the card to make the
color "splotches", which were also spritzed and sponged.
You might also notice butterfly shadows stamped with
the fun foam stamps made with the butterfly framelit.

Stamps Made with Framelits

Did you know that you can make fun foam stamps
out of framelits?  In this example, I cut a piece of fun foam
(2 times to double the thickness) with the Butterflies Thinlits
on page 172.  I glued them together and used this "stamp"
to stamp Blushing Bride Butterflies on a piece of vanilla c/s.
I added a strip of Tip Top Taupe embossed with the
Boho Chic Textured Embossing Folder and a strip of
Mint Macaroon Lace Ribbon to complete the card.

Quick and Steamy

I stamped with some friends this weekend, two of
whom liked the Steampunk style.  I decided to do my version,
using components from a retired SU Hodgepodge kit
and a focal image that I'd found at Goodwill.
There are a few retired SU background images,
and assorted do-dads.  Hope you like the "change of pace".

Fun Fold Watercooler Challenge WWC-29

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.ca/

Welcome to our second July Watercooler Challenge.
This one is great fun, Bev's fun fold challenge!
You're going to see some wonderful samples!

My fold is a very simple one, the Joy Fold.
You fold your 4 1/4 x 11 inch card in half normally,
and then fold the card front back up to the fold.

I guess I was in a quiet pensive mood when I sat down
to make this card,  pairing of Mint Macaron
and Lost Lagoon.  (Sorry that I couldn't get the card to
lay flat when I took the card photo).

The fold component features the Lots of Labels Framelits
on page 173.  The focal image is from Lovely As A Tree
(page 86) and sentiment from Butterfly Basics (page 124)

I completed the card with the Silver Basic Metal Button
which acts as the closure.

Thank you for checking out my fun fold card.
Now scoot on over to the Challenge site to see
the rest of the offerings.
PLEASE to add your version to our linky.
