Stamp Off Beauty of the Earth DSP with Hey Birthday Chick

This week Buffy, Susan and I are creating with our
favorite DSP (Designer Series Paper).  Frankly, this is like
trying to pick your favorite child.  Generally, my favorite DSP
is the one that I'm using at the moment, or the
product that best gets the job done.

I figured that the Beauty of the Earth DSP on page 130,
would produce a great masculine card, made with the
Hey Birthday Chick bundle (stamp set on page 65, dies
found on page 162).  This DSP has pages that look like wood,
clouds, grass, winter trees, fall trees, summer and so on.
It is a great accent for a variety of themes, or can be used
on it's own with your favorite sentiment.

The sentiment comes from Bunches of Fun (page 41) and cut
out with the Potted Succulent dies on page 165.  The
Beauty of the Earth "frame" was cut out with the
Ornate Layers dies on page 164.  I slathered the chicken
and balloon with Wink of Stella (page 128), although it
is hard to see the sparkle in this photo.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  Now it's time to
catch up with Buffy and Susan, showing off their
favorite DSP.

Bunches of Fun Masculine Card

My Dad had a great sense of humor.
He enjoyed kidding people or making "wisecracks."
I used to roll my eyes, but now would love to have
him around making those wisecracks.

Whenever Stampin' Up! releases new product, I look for
humorous sets.   Bunches of Fun, on page 41 was at the top of
my list.  It is a perfect set for masculine cards, that don't
have to be fancy or covered with accessories. After all, guys
usually throw cards in the garbage anyway.

This is an incredibly quick card to create,
using the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder (page 155)
and a strip of DSP from the In Good Taste collection on page 132.
I colored the banana with Stampin' Blends and it was complete.

This is another version, that I made with retired product.

Sweet as a Peach Bundle

It's new catalog time and many of us have received our
first official order.  It's the time of year to clear your schedule
and hide in your craft room.  I usually have my favorite Prince
music playing in the background, as I work with new product.

This is one of my favorite new catty sets.  It is the Sweet
as a Peach bundle, which includes the coordinating
Peach Dies (pages 61 and 161).  I have a lovely peach tree,
that brings me great joy.  Additionally, peaches are my
Mom's favorite fruit, so this set was a lock.  It has very
unique combinations of sentiments, which are very creative.

This is one of my very own peaches, from my
wonderful tree.
