Stamp Off Flourish Take It or Leave It

Hey, wonderful to see you for another Stamp Off Challenge,
sponsored by Susan, Buffy and myself.
This week, we are doing something a little different.
I call it a "Take It or Leave It Challenge", meaning each artist can
use all or some of the suggestions described above.
You don't have to "force" anything that doesn't work
for your particular project.
For my project, I used all of the suggestions.
The sentiment from Wetlands is embossed,
I used thinlits from Flourish Thinlits on page 194,
and my In-color is Flirty Flamingo, with Wisteria Wonder.

I inset the Flourish Thinlits strip, and then backed it with
the Wisteria Wonder.  I added some glitter to the strip and
leaf, to give them some sparkle.  Gold Thread added a bit more.
Now that you've seen out my challenge project, please
check out what Buffy and Susan have decided
to Take or Leave!

Swirly Stuck Kites

Every once in a while, you have an "off day" stamping.
This card did not equate to what was in my head.
I wanted to make it look like the Swirly Bird kites were
stuck in the trees.  Close, but no cigar!

Create CCMC421 Flourishing Phrases Sketch

Today I'm joining another Create with Connie & Mary challenge,
number CCMC421.  Their challenges always get me going and this sketch is very interesting!

As is often the case, I lean towards the Flourishing Phrases set
on page 49, with the coordinating Flourish Thinlits.
This new catalog bundle sure does get a lot of love
from card makers!  The Hardwood background was used
on the first layer, to add a little texture.

The colors used for this card include Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky,
Sweet Sugarplum and Dapper Denim.  I added a circle from
2016-18 Envelope Paper on page 176 and a bit of
Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (p 175) under the flowers.

Embellishments include the Enamel Shapes on page 177
and 3/8 inch Glitter Ribbon from page 37 of the
upcoming Holiday catalog.  I LOVE this Glitter Ribbon,
because it really brightens a card, with minimal effort!!
It is sturdy enough to attach with a little tape runner,
so that you have a ribbon accent, without the bulk of a bow.
