Tropical Chic with Tea Together

Today, Susan, Buffy and I are celebrating Mother's Day.
I am so blessed to still have my little Mom around,
so that I can visit with her when the urge strikes.

For Mom's day, I had to try a new technique, because
she notices these things!  This is a floating card, using
Press and Seal the Tropical Chic set,
which will be returning for 2019-20.

I will say that this technique was a challenge for me.
I stamped multiples of the foliage using my Stamparatus
(thank goodness for this product).  I arranged the
foliage and then applied the Press and Seal.  Then, cut out
the layer, using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and
Stitched Shapes Dies (so the center portion can be used
for another card).   The problem comes when you try to
remove the Press and Seal.  It has a tendency to pull
off the top layer of the foliage, so that I ruined several
images.  I stamped extra foliage and glued it over top.

After making this card, I did a bit of research.
Others suggest that you apply the Press and Peal to
your pants or a towel, several times, to reduce the stickiness.
I haven't tried that yet, but am pretty sure that will enable
me to have more success with this technique!

Anyway, thank you for reading along and now please
click on over to see what Buffy and Susan have done
for their Mother's Day cards!

Let it Ride in Rectangles

Let it Ride is in the Occasions catalog and will make
a reappearance in the new 2019-20 Stampin' Up!
Catalog.  That makes me happy, because I have several
friends and family members who really respond to
horse cards.  The sentiments with this set also
add to the appeal!

Tropical Chic with Tropical Thinlits

I think that Tropical Chic (p 121) with the coordinating
Tropical Thinlits (p 221) is an incredibly elegant bundle.
That large die is a beautiful focal point.
With the Stamparatus set up, you can stamp out
coordinating elements quickly.  The sentiment was created
with Butterfly Gala from the Occasions catalog
(it will be included in the upcoming catalog).
