CCMC107 Color Challenge Owl

This is a card entry for the CCMC107 color challenge over on
Create with Connie and Mary (click HERE for link).

This Color Challenge involved 4 colors:  So Saffron, Real Red,
Old Olive and Pink Pirouette.

This is the CUTE new Owl punch from Stampin' Up!, with sentiment
from the Pun Fun set.  This punch contains all the components needed for
the owl, you just decide which color DP or card stock you want to use.

I used the Big Shot to add Dotted texture to the Pink Pirouette card base and cut out
the Top Note layers.   This project was topped off with Wide Old Olive
Ribbon and a So Saffron flower brad.

Got Treats Milk Carton

This is another new catty set;  Got Treats on page 55.  It coordinates
with the Big Shot Milk Carton die, and the stamp set
On the Pedestal, also on page 55.  When using it with the
milk carton, it has "open" stamps and a variety of holiday images.

This example uses Old Olive, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie.
The accessories include 1 1/4 inch Black Striped Grosgrain
ribbon (page 191), and a clip from the Clip Assortment on page 187.

Just Believe in Pear Pizzazz

This is one of my favorite new sets from the 2010-2011 SU Catty.
It is called Just Believe.  The stamps in this set lend themselves
to quick, beautiful cards.

This project uses several new colors, including Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz
and a returning color, Perfect Plum.

Accessories on this card include the In Color Pear Pizzazz
ribbon and  Rhinestones.  Both are delightful and
really perk up a card.

vacation pictures

Sorry I haven't been posting.  I've been playing with new catty stuff, but haven't had time to upload and describe them.

Meanwhile, here are some pictures of the many animals I shared quality time with while visiting family in AZ.  They are a family that loves animals.

The quail is a chick that hatched from abandoned eggs.  It was soooooo sweet.

The dog's name is Simba and he's just a big lug.  The desert tortoises  were purchased at a pet store and were the size of half dollars. They are now MUCH larger than a dinner plate!
