World of Dreams Stamp Off Color Challenge

Today is my FAVORITE day of the week,
my Friday Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy and Susan.
We enjoy sharing with one another a great deal.

Today is Buffy's color challenge.
This was a good challenge for me, because these
are colors that I don't use very often, because they have
gray tones.  I think Susan is likely more comfortable
with some of the options above.  We'll see!

The World of Dreams set (page 95) is a beautiful set,
that retires at the end of May.  The silhouette images enable
you to use so many different techniques.  I used the
Lots of Labels Framelits (p 173) to make a frame around
the focal image.  I embossed this double stamped image
with my favorite Elegant Dots (p 174) Textured
 Impressions Embossing Folder.
I felt that the sentiment from An Open Heart (page 25)
fit well under the frame.  I find myself needing this kind
of card often, so was glad to use such a nice color combination!
Now please hop on over to check out what
Buffy and Susan have done with this color challenge.

Tin of Cards in Mossy Meadow

I'm using my retiring In-Colors and DSP, that I have been
hoarding all year.  That's always the way it works.  Beautiful product and I think I have to save it for a rainy day or something.
Speaking of, I had a plumbing leak in my basement and it
took out a bunch of my (retired) card stock and Designer
Series Paper.  Guess you could say that I had less mopping
to do because paper is really good at soaking up water!

Fortunately, I was home and caught the leak fairly quickly.
Even so, I hauled 2 garbage bags of paper to the trash can.
I learned a lesson.  I likely will never hoard my paper again.
It was heartbreaking to throw it out, so I had
better to use it on projects.

Speaking of, this project uses the Tin of Cards set and
Neutrals DSP pack.   I'm so glad that Tin of Cards will be in
the 2016-17 catalog, because this is a set that I pick up
over and over.

I'm not quite sure why I stamped the stars over half, and not
all of the card base.  I wanted them to "flow" from the
sentiment, but not sure that was the way to go.
Guess we'll just call it "artist discretion."

In the Meadow Open Card

In case you are curious, In the Meadow (on page 28 of the Occations mini) will be reappearing
in the upcoming 2016-17 annual SU catalog.  I'm glad about that
because it is a spectacular set, including the scenes that
can be used in so many ways.

I created an opening in this card, by attaching the focal image
to both portions.  I used the Neutrals Color Collection DSP
on page 144, to decorate the two panels.
