Delightful Dates August

Yes, I know it's not August, although the weather today is more like August than November!
This is another page from my Delightful Dates calendar from the Holiday Mini, featuring a punched SAIL BOAT.   I love these little punched sail boats, so wanted to include one on my punchy calendar.

The background card stock is Rich Razzleberry, as is the boat.  The sails are Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay.   For the boat, punch a circle (the punch size depends on how big you want your boat) and cut it in half.  The sails are simply a 1 1/4 inch square and a 1 3/8 inch square, both cut diagonally from corner to corner.  I ran both sails through the Big Shot Finial Press Embossing folder to add interest. You could always just take your stylus or empressor and make patterns if you don't have a Big Shot.

So now you are set for August projects!!

Baroque Scallop Gift Box

I've shown several of these scallop gift boxes, but this is my favorite.  Gold embossing on Brushed Gold card stock is a beautiful Christmas look.  Gold paired with Elegant Eggplant is lucious!! This project involves making a small box, attaching ribbons and then wrapping Big Shot Large Scallops around the box to form the sides.   The Modern Tag punch was used to punch out the embossed Tiny Wishes Christmas sentiment.    It is big enough to hold candies, small cards, jewelry or other "treasures".

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Gifts of Christmas

Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE Gifts of Christmas (page 37 in the main catty) AND Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.  This card uses Elegant Eggplant ink stamped on Kraft Card stock.  Let it dry and then ink the entire piece of card stock with VersaMark and then emboss with Iridescent Ice.   It's better than glitter because it does not flake off, and gives the card the perfect amount of shimmer.  And since purple is THE color this year,  you're styling for the holidays!

Add the coordinating ribbon and a couple of Always Artichoke layers and you have a WOW Christmas Card.

Enjoy Every Moment

I'm behind again, so pulled out this project from last year (hence the retired colors and ribbon).  This treat container uses the Enjoy Every Moment set, which is a great way to give a little Christmas gift.  The top / lid is the Big Shot large scallop circle.  Put candy in a cello treat bag, adhere inside and you're good to go.  These are very easy to "mass produce" if you are in a pinch.

Delightful Dates Calendar April

This is another page of my Delightful Dates punchy calendar.  April uses the butterfly punch, with pink ribbon for the "body".  I can't tell you how quick this page and project has been.  Plus, it will look VERY cute on my desk.

Scallop Envelope Treat box

This is a fun little treat container, made with of the Stampin' Up! Big Shot Scallop Envelope Die.
Two Scallop Envelopes were cut out of the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper (this red sheet is flocked on one side and white on the other). The bottom flap of the envelope was trimmed to about 1/2 inch.   The 2 envelopes were then attached flap to flap, and 2 bottom flaps.  Easy Peasy.  Punch some holes and add Taffeta ribbon and you're ready to give someone a cute little treat.

OOOPS!   Sorry about the upside down Hershey's!!!

Yippeeee for Falling Back!!
