Celebrate Sunflowers

I decided to post one more flower card, made with the
Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp set (page 17) and coordinating
Sunflowers Dies on page 166.  This card was such a simple
process, with a blended background behind the metallic
die cut.  If you don't want to color a flower with ink,
using blending brushes is the way to go!

Daisy Lane and Daisy Punches

Today I'm featuring a Daisy Lane (p 37) card.  I know it is kind
of incongruous with the Holiday season, but I needed a break
from Christmas cards.  I used the coordinating Daisy Punch
and Medium Daisy Punch (p 150) to punch out the stamped
daisies.  The Celebrate Sunflowers (p 17) sentiment was
layered on to a piece of Pattern Party Hostess DSP,
found on page 171.

Stamp Off Poinsettia and Beautiful Trees Christmas

Did you notice an "adjustment" to our Stamp Off header
above?  Susan, Buffy and I are putting our Stamp Off
Challenges on a hold for 2022.  We plan to do random
challenges, when we have time, but for now, our challenges
are ON HOLD.

Today's challenge is to post our Christmas card.  I am posting
a couple cards, because I usually mail out a variety of different
cards for the Holiday.  The card above uses the Poinsettia Dies
on page 165.  I used the sentiment from Snowman Season
on page 93, cut out with the Tailored Tags.

My second card uses the Beautiful Trees Dies (page 158), with
coordinating Beauty of Earth DSP (page 130).  I used the sentiment
from the Penguin Place Stamp set, found on page 33 of the
July-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog.  I just love adding those
red cardinals, to mark the holiday!

Please click on over to check out the stunning Christmas
cards shown by Buffy and Susan.  I've received their cards
and am so impressed by their skill and artistry!!  I look forward
to future challenges with these talented and lovely
ladies,  TBA (to be announced).  I so appreciate their friendship!

Christmas Beautiful Trees and Poinsettia

As Christmas approaches, I have a number of
cards that I have not posted.  This one uses the Beautiful
Trees dies on page 158.

This card uses the Poinsettia dies on page 165.  The
sentiment comes from the Word Wishes dies on
page 166.

Peaceful Cabin with So Many Snowflakes

Today, I'm posting several cards made with the
Peaceful Cabin set and coordinating Cabin Dies, found
on page 38 of the July-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog.

The snowflakes come from the So Many Snowflakes dies
on page 165.

Stitched Leaf with Sneak Peak

Well, the leaves are still blowing around outside.  I thought
most had dropped, but when I looked out the window this
morning, I found that I was completely wrong.
So here's a tribute card.

I took a piece of upcoming (January and February 2022)
SAB paper; Daffodil Afternoon on page 4, and cut out the
image with the Stitched Leaf die (page 165).  I placed
retired DSP paper behind the leaf and sentiment.
The sentiment was cut out with the
Tailor Made Tags on page 166.

So Many Snowflakes

This is a bit of a different Christmas card.  I used a layer
of Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate (page 135),
to feature Brushed Metal snowflakes from the
So Many Snowflakes dies on page 165.
The sentiment comes from the Penguin Place Stamp set
on page 33 of the July-Dec 2021 Mini.  It's hard to see from
the photo, but it is a metal on metal contrast.

Nuts About Squirrels

I'm featuring the Nuts About Squirrels set, on page 59
of the July - Dec 2021 mini again.  This is such an easy set
to use, producing a fun card.  Here, I layered the image
on top of some Hostess patterned paper.

Stamp Off Poinsettia Color Challenge

Good day crafty friends!  Today, Susan, Buffy and I
have a color challenge.  Our colors for this challenge
are Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy.

I really enjoy nontraditional Christmas colors, and this
challenge is perfect.  I used Blending Brushes to color flower
petals from the Poinsettia Dies on page 165.   I added
Fresh Freesia flower centers.  The sentiment comes from
the Word Wishes die set on page 166.

I ran the card layer through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing
Folder on page 55 of the July-Dec 2021 Mini Catalog.  I used
Blending Brushes (page 129) to add a bit of Coastal Cabana
to the edges.  I finished things off by coloring some enamel
dots with a Night Of Navy Stampin' Blend (page 122).

I thank you for stopping by, and hope that you will
visit Buffy and Susan's blogs so that you can see
how they approached this Stamp Off Color Challenge!

Cabin Dies with Snowman Season

I've done a couple of different cards using the Cabin dies.
The trees are so great for building different snowy scenes.
The Beauty of the Earth DSP on page 130 always offers a great backdrop to those trees.
This sentiment comes from the Snowman Season set on page 93.

Peaceful Cabin with Cabin Dies

This is a card using the Peaceful Cabin set on page 38
(of the July-Dec 2021 mini), with coordinating Cabin Dies.
I stamped the cabin on the In Good Taste DSP and
then cut it out with the dies.  I love the sentiment from this
set, which I punched out with a circle punch.

Penguin Place with Penguin Builder Punch

The Penguin Place (July-Dec 2021 Mini) stamp set, with the coordinating Penguin Builder punch is just plain fun.
You can't help smiling when I use these products.

In this example, I punched an extra piece of black Cardstock
for the penguin hat.  He looks a bit like a pirate.

Stitched Leaves with Celebrate Sunflowers

I made this quick card, using the Stitched Leaves dies on
page 165, paired with some Hostess Pattern Party DSP
on page 171.   I love the different colors featured in this DSP.

These Stitched Leaves dies are wonderful in terms of ease of
use and production speed.  The dies cut out and create the
stitching, in one pass through the Big Shot.  They work
great with DSP, which really highlight the textures.

The sentiment for this card comes from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set on page 17.  This really felt like a Thank You (or fall)
card.  Guess I had leaves on my mind, since they are
piling up outside.

Stamp Off Hand Penned Petals in Blends

Welcome back for our Stamp Off Challenge.  Today, Susan, Buffy
and I are highlighting the Stampin' Blends,
found on pages 122-3.

For my project, I used the Stampin' Blends in 3 different ways;
to color an image, to create a faux "DSP" strip and to
color enamel shapes.

I stamped the flowers from Hand Penned Petals with Soft Suede
ink, and then colored them with Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron,
Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.
I used the Penned Flowers Dies to cut out
the flowers and the edge of the faux DSP strip.
I cut out the sentiment from Quiet Meadow with a
Tailor Made Tags die (page 166).  I finished the card off
with some gold cord and enamel hearts colored with Blends.

Please check out the wonderful projects created by
Buffy and Susan!!  Thank for stopping by on this
Thanksgiving week, when we have so many blessings
in our lives.

Quiet Meadow Bundle

The Quiet Meadows Stamp set (page 110), with
coordinating Meadow dies offers tons of options for
layering.  This is a really quick card, that makes
use of this bundle and DSP.

I hope that you and yours have a wonderful
Thanksgiving holiday!

Nuts about Squirrels

The squirrels are still having a good ole time in my yard,
so I had to post another Nuts About Squirrels (Mini page 49)
card.  This set is just so darn easy to use.  The font is very forgiving,
so that you don't have to be too concerned about your
sentiment going wonkyjammer.   I used DSP, and
stamped some leaves on it, to add to the squirrel feel of
this project.  A strip of In Good Taste DSP wood completed
the feel.

Beautiful Trees dies with Peaceful Cabin

Time to get a Christmas card posted.  This card uses the
Beautiful Trees dies (page 158), with some retired SAB
products (the tree specialty paper and the DSP strip).
I used the sentiment from the Peaceful Cabin set on page 38
of the July-Dec 2021 Mini catalog.  The card base was
embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D. folder on page 55.

Pierced Blooms with Sweet Strawberry

Yes, it's November, but I'm still cranking out flowers.
Pierced Blooms (page 165) has got to be my favorite collection
of flower dies.  They are just so easy to use.
That's really important when you have to make a quick
birthday or get well card.  For this project, I used the
sentient from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp set on page 43.

Monday, November 15, 2021

Meadow Pattern Party

This is another card, featuring the Pattern Party DSP,
on page 171.  The flower was created with the Meadow dies
on page 160, and framed with the Ornate Layers Dies (page 164).
I like the combination of yellow and black, because it
creates such vibrancy.   Wondering if it is too bright
to be a "thinking of you" card?

Stamp Off Sunflowers Dies with DSP

Susan, Buffy and I are ready for you today!   Our challenge
is to use your DSP (designer series paper).  If you have been
crafting for any length of time, you likely have a huge stash
of DSP.  It's so difficult to cut up, but easy to create with those pretty sheets of paper!

For this card, I used the Pattern Party Hostess DSP pack
on page 171, for all of the elements.  The Sunflowers Dies
on page 166 are stunning.  They can be stamped with the
coordinating Celebrate Sunflowers set, or created
using DSP.  I used the Pattern Party for the background of the sunflower, and Brushed Metallic for the sunflower detail.
One thing that I always forget to do is to
stamp directly on to the DSP, to create continuity of color
and pattern, as shown in this example.  I added some rhinestones, colored with Stampin' Blends,
to the center of the flower for a bit more sparkle.

I'm so glad that you stopped by my blog.  Now it's time
to click on over to Buffy and Susan's sites, so that you can
see their amazing DSP challenge cards!

Penguin

I felt that I needed to get away from flowers today.  What
better diversion, than a penguin!!   I used retired SAB
Designer Series Paper and wooden stars from on old
Paper Pumpkin kit for this card.

Monday, November 8, 2021

Quiet Meadow

For this card, I pulled out my Quiet Meadow set on page 110,
and simply stamped a number of the images.  I added a bit of
color with Stampin Blends and added a Linen Thread bow.
This is a very quick card, to create for someone who is ill.

Hippo Happiness with Birthday Chick Dies

Sometimes we need kid cards and we've got some great
products for that purpose.  In this example, the ewes come from
the Hippo Happiness Set (p 62) with coordinating Hippo and
Friends Dies (p 163).  The fence and sentiment come from
the Birthday Chick dies on page 162.  I ran the background
through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder on p 155.

Celebrate Sunflowers on In Good Taste DSP

It's been a warm start to the fall, so I figure there's still
plenty of time for the Celebrate Sunflowers set (page 17),
with coordinating Sunflower Dies on page 166.  I colored the
sunflower and leaves with Stampin' Blends. This bundle
coordinates perfectly with the In Good Taste DSP pack
on page 132.

Clever Cats with Biggest Wish

Clever Cats, on page 53 of the July - December 2021
Mini catalog, is not just for Halloween! I think that its a perfect
set to use for your favorite cat lovers.

In this example, the sentiment comes from Biggest Wish
on page 63.  The words come in handy, because you don't
have to be extremely careful about lining the words up.
They are very forgiving.  I love it!

Stamp off Nuts About Squirrels

I'm glad to see you back for another Stamp Off Challenge
with Susan, Buffy and me!   Today, we are using our
favorite product from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.

Picking product from this Mini catalog is hard, because
I like several different items.  I decided to use the Nuts About
Squirrels set on page 59.  My double Z fancy fold card format
comes from stampwithtami.com.

I used DSP from the In Good Taste pack (page 132), because
it coordinates with a squirrel/tree theme.  I always need
get well cards, so the Nuts About Squirrels set worked
perfectly with a multi-panel card.

I added some more
vegetation with elements from the Pierced Blooms dies.  I
felt that a get well card benefitted from some flowers.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please check out the lovely cards
offered by Buffy and Susan!  They are such talented ladies!

Quiet Meadow Set with Meadow Dies

This card is a case of catalog page 94.  I love the strips
of DSP as a background layer.  You can pretty much put
anything you want against this type of background.

For this card, I used the flowers and sentiments from the Quiet
Meadow set on page 110.  I added some flowers from the
coordinating Meadow dies on page 160.  The flowers were
cut out with the Tailor Made Tags dies on page 166.

Monday, October 25, 2021

Peaceful Cabin

I love the Peaceful Cabin set, with coordinating Cabin dies
(July-Dec 2021 Mini catalog, page 38), because it has a lot of
different bits, and looks.   This sentiment is also beautiful.

For this card, I took a piece of typing paper and punched out a
circle.  That allowed me to mask the focal layer, so that I could
use a Blending Brush to create the moon (as an afterthought,
I figured yellow might have been a better color choice!).
I added the sentiment and two trees, to complete the card front.
This would be a very fast card to create in multiples,
for the Christmas crowd.

Clever Cats Halloween

I had to post another Clever Cats (page 53 of the July-
December catalog) card, because this set is just too funny.
As a Halloween set, it is perfect because it has a bit of
sarcasm, along with the traditional Halloween elements.  It pairs
really well with the Hostess Pattern Party DSP, given all of the
black and white options in that pack.

Plentiful Plants with Perfect Plants Dies

The Plentiful Plants set on page 81 keep drawing me back.
I'm sure that's because I love the coordinating Perfect Plants
dies on page 160, that enable all kinds of plant arrangements.
I added a little Blended color to the Embossed background.
Finally, I added the plant, with coordinating colors.

Sailing Home with Smooth Sailing Dies

Here's another masculine card for you.  The Sailing Home
stamp set on page 51 is a must have.  I love the coordinating
Smooth Sailing dies on page 165, that enable you to layer
elements from the stamp set.  I shaded the background a bit
with a Blending Brush and then cut the sentiment out with
the Taylor Made Tag dies on page 166.

Stamp Off Nuts about Squirrels

And, we're back again for another Stamp Off Challenge
with Susan, Buffy and me.  Today, our challenge is to make
a masculine card.

I really like making masculine cards because they do not
have to be fussy or fancy.  I do get comments from some guy
relatives, but I think that they know that I put a lot of effort
into making the perfect card for them.

I think that the Nuts about Squirrels on page 49 of the
July-December 2021 Mini catalog is perfect for guys.  It's
cute, cartoon-ish, and has great sentiments.  The font is also
"of sturdy stuff."

I fussy cut the squirrel and layered it over an opening in
the tree, layered with DSP from the In Good Taste pack on page 132.  In order to make it look like he was up in a tree,
I used a Blending Brush to add some limbs from the
Basic Patterns Decorative Masks on page 128 in the
annual catalog.

Thanks for stopping, and please enjoy the cards offered
by Buffy and Susan.  They are amazing artists.

Wednesday, October 13, 2021

Clever Cats

Clever Cats, on page 53 of the July-December 2021,
is a darling set.  You get both cats and pumpkin... bonus!
I used the Hostess Pattern Party (page 171) to create the background,
including adding Pumpkin Pie to the dotted pattern.
All of the images come from the set, enabling you to
layer up a fun card design!

Hat Builder Dies

I really like the Hat Builder dies on page 159, for either
male or female cards.  Nowadays, baseball hats have
become the norm.  What I like about these dies, is that you
can personalize the hat for the recipient.  In the sample above,
I used DSP from the Pattern Party pack, on page 171.

I added a couple of stars, to dress it up.

Friday, October 8, 2021

Plentiful Plants with Beauty of Friendship

The Plentiful Plants set (page 81), with coordinating
Perfect Plants dies (page 160) is a great bundle to play
around with.  In this example, I stamped the plant and pot
in order to place them in front of the "window".  The window
was formed with Beauty of Earth DSP; the curtains from
Pattern Party DSP (cut out with the retired Swirly Snowflakes dies).
I opted not to add a frame around the
window, because I assumed that people would figure it out!

The sentiment comes from Beauty of Friendship.
Have a wonderful weekend, that might include some crafting?!

Wednesday, October 6, 2021

Hand Penned Bundle

The Hand Penned Bundle (set on page 105, dies on
page 159) is a great set of product to work with.  It is
kind of effortless, in terms of knowing what you are going
to do with it, given our delightful Stampin' Blends.
I love using a Blending Brush to color the
background, before placing the flowers.  In this example,
I ran the outline through the Brushed Metallic cardstock,
adding a layer to the background as well.

Monday, October 4, 2021

Beauty of Earth with Beautiful Trees

This is another card that I made for last Friday's Colors of
Fall challenge. I added strips from the
Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (DSP) on page 130.
This DSP is so beautiful, lending itself to both fall and winter
projects.  Strips of DSP add a great back drop to a die.

I used a die from Beautiful Trees on page 158,
to cut out a Be Dazzling DSP tree.  The background layer was run
through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder on page 55
of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.
