Clear Stamp Set Storage

Thought that I'd share a storage strategy that I
recently discovered.  These are DVD racks sold by Best Buy
for $7.99.  They hold 25 DVD cases.  Best Buy also
sells a floor version that holds 50 cases.
They are very useful because you can store numerous
clear mount sets in a small footprint.

Fall Foliage Thank You

It's still warm out, so I felt a fall card was "OK".

this card characterizes life issues for me!

Open Sleigh Apothecary Dresser

I will have to admit that I am proud of
this little dresser.  It is made out of "leftovers"
from a previously posted project (Christmas door).

The Old Olive panels were scored 1/4 inch from each
edge on the Simply Scored, to give them a raised look.
The panels were sponged and then mounted on a
sponged Old Olive layer with dimensionals.

The Ornament Keepsakes Bundle was used to make the
ball feet and drawer pulls.  The drawer pulls were then
mounted and coated with Crystal Effects.

The Brushed Gold card stock branches were punched
using the Bird Builder Punch.

The stocking from Open Sleigh was stamped in
Cherry Cobbler and hand cut.

The back of the dresser is a piece cut with the
Apothecary Framelit set, pierced and sponged.

The dresser was layered on to a piece of Candlelight
Christmas Specialty DSP, which was then mounted on
the Cherry Cobbler Card Base.

Llama Christmas Hop

Welcome my contribution to the Fall-i-Days
Christmas blog hop.  I bet you loved Diane's projects!

My theme this hop is "Christmas Sparkle".
I love the Red Glimmer paper (page 160), because it
just makes me happy.  This paper
 figures prominently into my projects.

In this project, the Red Glimmer paper is the
layer behind a Whisper White layer.
The WW layer was stamped with the Christmas sentiment
from the Open Sleigh set found on page 12 of the main catty.
The Whisper White layer was then run through the Big Shot
Holiday Collection Framelit Christmas tree die
three times to create a group of trees.
You don't have to be picky about placement,
just create a random trio.
After creating the trees, the layer was run through
Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder to add a little texture.
I attached all of the layers, concluding with a
Gumball Green card base.
Lastly, Rhinestones were added to complement
the sparkle.

My second project is a gift card holder.  It can be
hung from a Christmas tree or
you can omit the ribbon and send it as a card.

Again, a layer of Red Glimmer paper figures
prominently, flanked by a frame of Brushed Silver CS.

Graduated sizes of the Window Frames Collections
Framelits were used to produce the Gumball Green
card base, Glimmer layer, and Brushed Silver frame.

The Holiday Collections Christmas Tree Framelit was
used to make the tree image, which was then
run through the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.
Gumball Green Ribbon was attached between layers
with sticky strip.

This is the inside of the gift card holder.
I cut an extra layer of the Window Frames
Framelit, cut it down
 and glued it with Tombo.

I hope that you enjoyed my hop projects!

Now hop along to see Jean's lovely offerings.
Or click the "Home" button to return to the
main hop page.

Holiday Ornaments oops

This card uses the Holiday Ornaments Framelits
on page 3 of the Holiday Mini.  The sentiment comes
from the Open Sleigh set.

I was happy with this card, until my last step...
I cut out the ornaments with the framelits and
ran them through the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder
to add texture.  I then used the Delicate Designs
Embossing Folder to create a "swag" at the top of
the card layer.  The ornaments were "hung" from
the swag.

My "final act" was to spritz the card layer with
Platinum Shimmer paint in a Spritz bottle.
The result is some "dirty looking" spots.
Sorry about that.  Essentially, I should have held
the card farther from the spritzer nozzle, so the
result would have been a fine mist,
rather than splotches!

Embossed Hello Doily

Embossing the Hello Doily stamp produces a wonderful
effect.  In this example, I embossed Very Vanilla c/s
with White embossing powder and then sponged with
Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake.
The background was also stamped with the
En Francais background stamp to add texture.
The banners were produced by punching the ends
with the Full Heart punch.  The Pink Pirouette banner
was stamped with the "Thank You" from the
Curly Cute set.
Pearls were added as a final accent and the
layers was then attached to the card base.

Toxic Treats with Banners

I'm still "totally into" banners made with the
Full Heart punch.  In this example, I used the
Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP from the Holiday Mini.

The sentiment and crow come from the Toxic Treats
Set.  It's such a great Halloween set!  Add a bit of
3/8 inch Black Taffeta ribbon and the card is complete.

October Llama Hop

I hope that you are enjoying the Thanksgiving Llama hop so far!
Bet you loved Debbie's inspiring projects!

I really enjoy making Christmas cards, so that is what I am
offering for my Blog Hop contribution!

Given the popularity of banners, I had to make a banner
Christmas card.  And I HAD to use the Scentsational Season
set with coordinating framelits on page 16 of the Holiday Mini.
It is so much fun to crank out cards with the framelits!

Materials:  Scentsational Season Set
Sentiment from Open Sleigh Set
Banners: Gumball Green Core'dinations card stock
Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock
Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP,
Whisper White card stock
Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
Full Heart Punch (to punch the end of the banners)

Here is a link for the tutorial I used for this tree.
Most paper artists use DSP for the origami tree, but I have
"issues".  I can't deal with 2 different patterns showing
on the tree.  For that reason, I used the Gumball Green
Core'dinations paper, embossed with the Big Shot
Fancy Fan embossing folder.  My sample is sponged with
Early Espresso ink, but I think White Craft Ink looks better.
The "Merry" sentiment can be placed on the
Christmas Tree skirt, or stuck in the branches as
in this example.

Materials:  "Merry" from Teeny Tiny Wishes,
Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green Core'dinations c/s,
Red Glimmer paper with Star from
Holiday Collection Framelit Die set,
Fancy Fan Textured Embossing Folder
Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder,
Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder
Word Window Punch
Spritzer with Champagne Mist Shimmer paint & alcohol
