Stamp Off Varied Vases Sketch

The challenges that Buffy, Susan and I are sharing
are very exiting this time of year, because we have
a new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I get pretty excited about
all the new product I have to share.

This week, we have a great sketch challenge.
A sketch challenge is a great way to get creative juices
flowing, because it is easy to visualize which set would
work best.

For this sketch, I felt that circles worked better than squares.
The Varied Vases (p 45) photopolymer set had a variety of
images that would fit in these shapes.  I used Calypso Coral,
Night of Navy and Gorgeous Grape colors.   I LOVE the
fact that we now have 3 lovely purples, that go with
our new color families.

Now please click on over to Buffy and Susan's blogs,
so that you can enjoy their spectacular cards.

Heather and Mint Follow Your Dreams

One of the first new catalog bundles to catch my eye was
Follow Your Dreams (p 54) with the coordinating
Chase Your Dreams Framelits Dies (p 216).
I like feathers and Native American images.
I also loved the framelits options, which include a variety
of shapes that coordinate together.  It's a fresh
bundle that lends itself to feminine or masculine projects.
I harp on stamp set flexibility quite a bit, because I
like to get a lot of use/mileage out of my purchases!

The colors used for this project were Mint Macaron
and Highland Heather.  I adore the way the new color families
combine so easily, making color selection a snap.

Varied Vases Builder Flowers with Window Box

Varied Vases, on page 45, is a fun little set, because
you can get a lot of mileage out of either the punch,
and/or the set.  The Vases Builder punch offers the opportunity
to create several different flower and vase combinations.
Combined with the set, you have great sentiments
and watercolor options.  The Layered Leaves (p 222)
Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
adds to the texture, highlighting the leaves
created with the Vases Builder Punch.

I hope that you didn't miss that new Mango Melody
ink color on this card!
I am finding that Mango Melody coordinates
with so many different color combinations!
In case you missed the information on our
new ink pads, please watch this video,
that has suggestions for opening and using
the new pad cases.
