Stamp Off Retiring In Colors with Flourish Thinlits

Buffy, Susan and I are winding down our challenges
for the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! catalog.  There are so many
wonderful products that are retiring.

Today, we are featuring retiring In Colors.  Those colors
include Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide,
Berry Burst and Fresh Fig.

From the beginning, I have been in love with Tranquil Tide.
I tend to like greens, but when you add the Nature's Poem DSP
(on page 189) to the mix, the combination is yummy.
I added some Versa Mark for shading and ran the
background layer through the Subtle Textured
Impressions Embossing Folder.

I used the Flourishing Phrases stamp set, with the coordinating
Flourish Thinlits Dies, which will be returning in 2019-20.
I picked up on the color combo presented in
the DSP and used that for my card.   The Rectangle
Stitched Dies sort of class it up, so are perfect for the
sentiment layers!

I thank you for stopping by.  I know that you will love
the cards offered by Susan and Buffy!

Well Written Dies on Tin Tile

This is kind of a preview of our Stamp Off Challenge
this coming Friday.  This card uses the retiring In Color
Powder Pink.  I had not used this color much, and it
reminds me a bit of Blushing Bride.

I stamped the layers with the leaf from Painted Harvest
(carrying over to the new catalog) and sponged the edges.
The Well Written die sentiment is layered on
Whisper White, cut out with the Stitched Shapes dies
and Tin Tile Embossing Folder.

All Good Things Koi Pond

My Mom loves the Japanese Friendship Garden in Phoenix.
It is a beautiful place, featuring koi ponds and outdoor
art.  You can get there on the light rail system and I highly
recommend a visit, if you have an opportunity.

I purchased the retiring All Good Things set,
specifically to make koi cards for my little Mom.
I embossed this card with the Layered Leaves
Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (p 222),
to make it look a bit more like the koi are
swimming in a pond.
