Stamp Off High Tide Beachy Challenge

Welcome back to our Stamp Off challenge,
posted every other week!

This week, Buffy, Susan and I are getting beachy.
We have many wonderful "beachy" stamp sets,
that enable us to unleash our creative efforts.

I didn't get overly fancy for this challenge.   I picked the
High Tide photopolymer set on page 145 for several reasons;
the sentiments are wonderful, you can create lovely cards,
and I find it very peaceful to stamp with this set.   The images
are beautiful and easy to combine, while you imagine
yourself laying on a beach, looking up at a lighthouse.

In this example, I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede,
Berry Burst and Tranquil Tide inks.  To add some technique,
I ran the completed/stamped card through the Big Shot
Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (p 223) twice,
once in each direction.  I feel that this makes the card
look like it was painted on canvas.   Below is a similar card,
that was not run through the Subtle Texture Impressions
Embossing Folder, for comparison.

I find the first card more attractive, because the embossing adds
more interest to the "painting".  I did not add a sentiment
to the front of the first card, because I wasn't sure how it would
look after being embossed.

Thank you so much for stopping by this week.
Buffy and Susan are poised and ready to show you
more beachy goodness!

Build a Bike Chase Your Dreams on DSP

This is a variation on Monday's card, using the
Build a Bike Framelits on page 216.
As with my previous post, I used the the Chase Your
Dream Framelits to create "fancy" wheels for the bike.

In this example, the bike is layered on to Granny Apple Green
c/s that has been run through the Pinewood Planks
Embossing Folder.  The DSP comes from the Brights
Paper Stack.  The sentiment from Varied Vases (p 45)
lined up perfectly on the DSP.

Build a Bike with Chase Your Dream

I absolutely LOVE the Build a Bike Framelits on page 216.
It coordinates with the Bike Ride Stamp set on page 28.

I am now enthralled with the idea of using the Chase Your
Dream Framelits to create "fancy" wheels.  This combination
makes for very happy cards!!  In this example, I created the
clouds with the Up and Away Thinlits (p 221).
The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Day (p 134).
