Geared Up Garage Birthday

I often pull out Geared Up Garage (page 154) with the 

coordinating Garage Gears (page 193), because it is

great for masculine cards.  I had a hard time taking 

a picture of this card, because of all that shiny,

masculine gear bling.  The car was created by stamping

Silver Foil with Stazon ink.

I combined the bling with Gray Granite, stamped with

lots of smoke.  I hope that you like this!

Tropical Chic Background

Every once in a while I try to make some background

paper out of stamped images.  It's a productive technique,

when you want a background to have specific

colors.  In this example, I wanted some muted foliage.

I used the Tropical Chic Stamp set on page 93,

with the coordinating Tropical Dies on page 197.  I love

the sentiments in this set, and the way that they

go so well with the images.

Free Skate Wonderful Time of Year

There are some wonderful offerings in the Stampin' Up!

Holiday catalog.  I really like Free Skate, with the 

coordinating Detailed Skates Dies on page 44. 

What a nice, flexible set of dies!

For this card I cut the background layer out of 

See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper, and then added

the Noble Peacock Foil (page 167) layer over top.

I also perked the card up with some Sparkle Glimmer

Paper (page 169).

This card totally reminds me of my days in Wisconsin,

when they would flood the park, fire up the warming house

and turn skaters loose.  We spent hours going in

circles, or holding hockey sticks!
