Stamp Off Retiring In Colors

Today our challenge is retiring In Colors (Lovely Lipstick,
Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call me Clover and
Blueberry Bushel).  I think that Susan, Buffy and I should
have taken a survey as to our feelings about these colors,
as SU tends to alternate Subtles and Brights for In Colors.
It's ok with me if these colors retire.
I worked in the schools for over 30 years and they
remind me of school construction paper colors.

I decided to use the First Frost set, because it is also
retiring.   I combined Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove and
Old Olive.  I added a little Silver Foil sprig,
because the foils always lifts the other colors.
I used the Big Shot to cut out the images with
the First Frost dies, layering them on to an Ornate Layers
frame.  This sentiment comes from Butterfly Gala and
I use it ALL the time!

I'm glad that you could stop by for a nod to Stampin'
Up!'s retiring In Colors.  Please enjoy Buffy and
Susan's offerings.

Tasteful Backgrounds

The SU retiring list has now been published and some of
my favorite products are retiring.  The Tasteful Backgrounds,
on page 196, gives so many options for classy cards.  It's
hard to tell the colors used from this pictures.  They are
In Colors Lovely Lipstick and Rococo Rose.  I cut out the die
twice, so that I could inlay the Rose color.   I also love the
Copper Trim on page 174.

I needed to include this photo from my little orchard.
I have a number of smaller fruit trees, including a 12 foot peach,
two 5 foot cherries and two little 5 foot apples trees.  They are
small, but mighty, as all of the little trees bear fruit each year.
Last year, when my Mom was here, I had about 80 peaches,
which I piled in front of her.  She loves peaches.
The peach and cherry trees are already done blooming, so
I had to take some pics of my apple blossoms.   I enjoy
looking out my kitchen window, to see spring literally in bloom.

Ornate Layers Good Morning

This is another card using the Ornate Layers Dies
(upcoming SU catalog).  The Good Morning Magnolia
set on page 38 is another great combo with these dies.

I had to add one more picture.  This is my 90+ year old Mom at
my sister's.  I did not have permission to post, so blurred her face
but trust me, she was sporting a big smile.  She told my sister
that the ride was a bit scary.  My sister asked "Do you want
to go home, or go a little further."   Mom's reply
"oh, we can go further."   She's a goer, that little Mom!
