CCMC #415 Fourish Sketch

because they are often something in my wheel-house.
I love sketch challenges, and this is a good one!

Often, it is obvious when I've gotten a new stash from
Stampin' Up!  In this case, it is the Flourishing Phrases
Stamp set with coordinating Flourish Thinlits (bundle)
on pages 49 and 194.  This bundle covers a wealth of life
events, including Thank you, Hello, Sympathy and Weddings.
That's a pretty flexible and useful set.  The other bonus
is that you can use the set to create your own DSP,
in any color combination you desire.
My card features my favorite color combination (currently),
including Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Wild Wasabi.
I added some Silver
Glimmer Paper (page 175) to make it pop.

The "Sweet" sentiment comes from the Thoughtful Banners
set on page 73.  I had a small space, so elected to use this
small font.   This set is extremely useful, given the variety
of possible word combinations.

Stamp Off Fishy Color Challenge

I hope that you've made it a habit to check out our
Stamp Off challenges.  We really enjoy doing these
challenges and look forward to your feedback.
We like to shake up our challenges, by using a wide
variety.  This week, we are hosting a color challenge,
offered by Susan.  These are wonderful colors, that
work well together.

As soon as I saw Susan's challenge, I thought of goldfish
and water.  I had no option, that was the theme!

The Jar of Love Bundle (page 75 and 192) is one of those
bundles that is a must-have.  It enables so many options,
from fish, flowers, greenery and containers.
In this example, I stamped the jar on to watercolor paper
with Stazon ink and water colored it.  I inked up
the fish, stamped them on watercolor paper and popped
them up with dimensionals.  I added retired candy dots,
to suggest bubbles.

I stamped the sentiment on a banner from the
Thoughtful Banners set (p 73), bending it to fit the curve of the
banner, and punched it out with the
coordinating Duet Banner Punch (p 186).
Finally, I embossed the Tangerine Tango layer with the
Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Now hop on over, to check out what Buffy and Susan
did with this color challenge.  I'm kind of wondering, given
the colors, whether we may have had similar artistic inspiration!

Weather Together Umbrella

The Weather Together Bundle (pages 55 and 193)
includes a photopolymer set with coordinating Framelit Dies.
It's a great bundle that includes a variety of umbrellas,
clouds and coordinating sentiments.  The well worded
sentiments work well for a variety of difficult situations.

Swirly Bird on the Waves

There are lots of Swirly Bird (p 152) samples on the internet,
featuring the sale boat with waves created with the Swirly
Scribbles Thinlits Dies (p 194).  This bundle offers so
many options and is really easy to create with.
Because it is a photopolymer set, you can bend the
stamps in different ways.  In this example, the bow of
the boat is bent to fit the curve of the waves.
