Candy Cane Ornament Christmas

This card uses the current Candy Cane Designer Series Paper
with retired Blush Blossom card stock.   The card base was run through
the Northern Flurry Big Shot embossing folder and then
swiped with Soft Suede ink to highlight the snowflakes.

The Candy Cane DSP was cut out with the Ornament Punch.

The sentiment comes from the Contempo Christmas set.

This is a quick card, but I love the effect.

Deck the Halls Christmas Tags

I give sets of cards for Christmas presents.   The Deck the Halls Designer Series
Paper enables production of great Christmas tags.  In this example, I used the
Big Shot Two Tags Die to cut out portions of the Deck the Halls DSP.
All that is left to do is add a pretty bow to adhere these tags to
their respective gift packs.

Candy Cane Elf Shoes

I've seen samples of Christmas elf shoes on many sites,
so decided to try my hand at it.
The shoes were made with the Big Shot Top Note
die and Candy Cane Designer Series Paper (Holiday Mini).
One-half of the Top Note piece is used.  Circle punches were
used to cut out the top of the shoes.  The elf shoes were
decorated with Real Red Grosgrain ribbon bows and
Rhinestones.  Please note that the rhinestones were colored
with permanent markers, to coordinate with the DSP.
The Early Espress "legs" were run through the Big Shot
Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give them texture.

Snow flakes from the Snow Swirled stamp set were
stamped in VersaMark on the Crumb Cake Card base.
The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was
cut out with the Word Window punch
and layer on the Modern Label punch.

Candy Cane Treat Bag

This is a Mini Lunch Sack treat bag
which is a nice gift for neighbors or co-workers.

The green strip from the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper was made with the Tasteful Trims Big Shot Die.
It was pieced with other designs from the paper pack and
run through a Big Shot embossing folder to give it texture.

The sentiment comes from the Bells and Boughs set
and is layered on Cherry Cobbler punched out with
the Decorative Label Punch.

All of these products, with the exception of the Spring
Moss Grosgrain ribbon, are contained in the SU
Holiday Mini.

Every Moment in Curry

I made this card for a  friend who recently had a hip replacement.

It uses one of my favorite sets... Every Moment.  The focal image was stamped
on Early Espresso card stock and embossed with gold embossing powder.
The card base is retired Curry card stock, with 2 additional panels
that had been run through the Big Shot Elegant Lines Embossing Folder
positioned on either side.  Finally, retired Curry ribbon was tied around
the focal panel.

I hope you enjoy it.

This is another example of the Deck the Halls Fabric.  The Big Shot Trim Die
was used to create several strips.  Note the large button that coordinates with
the Fabric.  These materials are available in the current Holiday Mini.

Dawn Griffith Christmas CASE

I thoroughly enjoy projects produced by Dawn Griffith.
This is a CASE of one of her projects.  It is unique because the top layer
is wider than the card base, making for an elegant look.

This project includes Cherry Cobbler card base, Very Vanilla card stock
and the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.
The sentiment is from the Bells and Boughs Set in the Holiday Mini.
Accessories include Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Victoria Crochet
Trim and Pearls.

Bells and Boughs

The Bells and Boughs set from the Holiday Mini
is different from my usual style, but yields such elegant cards.

The colors in this project are Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke and
Real Red (5/8 inch ribbon).
The  Baja layer was embossed with the Northern Flurry Big Shot
Embossing Folder.

This is a very quick card to make (especially if you leave out the
dry embossing), enabling production of a large number of Christmas Cards.

SU Fabric Purses

I make purses for myself and have been thinking about using my Stampin' Up!
Deck the Halls Designer Fabric.

Here's my project.   The black base is a little too muted for me, but it
was the best I could do.  Hard to find a background fabric that went with
the patterns.  Hope that you like it.

Candy Cane Envelope Card.

This card features the Candy Cane Designer Series Paper and
the Got Treats set.

The envelope is the made with the Scallop Envelope (page 206),
by folding the Designer Series paper and placing it on the
3rd scallop, making it a taller envelope.

The image was stamped on Whisper White and matted on
 Blushing Bride card stock.

The silver clip, 5/8 inch Real Red grosgrain
and rhinestones were added to "bling" it out.

Joyful Season Letterpress

This is a CASE of a card I saw on-line and I apologize that I cannot find the source.

It is the new Joyful Season Letterpress plate from the SU Holiday Mini.

This new product requires use of craft ink and leaves a  deep,
debossed impression, like an old fashioned printing press.

I used Chocolate Chip craft ink and ran Naturals White c/s
through my Big Shot.

The ornament punch was used to provide a backdrop to the Northern Frost
Decorative Strip snowflake die.

The Top Note piece was embossed with the Square Lattice folder
on page 214.  Lastly, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding was wrapped
around the layers.  The seam binding is VERY easy to tie!

The colors for this card are Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler.

Angelic Joy in Baja

This card features the Angelic Joy set on page 23 of the Holiday Mini.

The colors are Basic Gray, Baja Breeze and Pirouette Pink.  The
Big Shot Elegant Lines embossing folder was used to add texture
to the strip.  I am tempted to use that embossing folder on every card,
I like it so much.

Waffle Paper Clutch

This clutch features the Waffle Paper (page 8) and Silver Tinsel Trim
(page 21) from the Holiday Mini.

The "fastening" is made by punching the new Decorative Label punch out
of  Silver card stock.  Gold card stock was stamped and punched with a
1 inch circle punch.  Finally, Glimmer Basics Glimmer Grads were
added for a little more "glitz".

Day of Gratitude Embossed

This is the Day of Gratitude set featured in the previous post.
In this project, the stamped elements were embossed on Mustard or Cajun Craze
with gold embossing powder and then cut out.  You get a whole
different, elegant look, when you emboss with this set.

The Always Artichoke was dry embossed with the Big Shot
Elegant Lines embossing folder.  The other colors used for this project
were More Mustard and Cajun Craze.  What a GREAT combo!

Pearls were added to increase the elegance of this card.

Day of Gratitude with Markers

Day of Gratitude, found on page 7 of the Holiday Mini, is a
beautiful set.  It is easy to emboss (check out my upcoming post),
color with markers and yes, even cut out (I hate cutting, but this
set makes it tolerable).

In this example, I colored the large image and sentiment with Pumpkin Pie,
Wild Wasabi and Rose Red Markers.  Cut things up, layer the images
and you're good to go.

Falling Leaves with Owl

This is a CASE of a card by my good friend Mary Brown.
I used the Falling Leaves set and added the delightful Owl Punch.
This Owl punch from the main catty is so much fun!
He can be moody, or disguised as a penquin, pirate,
nurse, you name it!

The brown strip is from the NEW exclusive Big Shot
Tasteful Trim Die (page 17 of the Holiday Mini).
It has soooo many uses, whether you are cutting paper or cloth.

Dark and Dreary Web

This is the Dark and Dreary set from the Holiday Mini.
The Spider Web embossing folder is found in the Holiday mini
on page 6.  In order to add the "sparkle" to the web, I rubbed the
raised embossing with Versa Mark and sprinkled with Irridescent Ice
Embossing Powder.    It's really GOOD STUFF!

Stacked Candy Wrappers

Here's another Candy Wrapper (page 10 of the Holiday Mini) idea.

An Old Olive and a Perfect Plumb candy wrapper are stacked
and bound with the wide Old Olive Ribbon.

You can make your "stacks" as high as you want.  Rather than
wrapping them with ribbon, you can decorate each "layer"
with stamps for the occasion (Christmas, Halloween, Birthday).

Bat Punch Treat

This is the new Candy Wrapper Bigz die found on page 10 of the mini.
Take Pumpkin paper, add some ribbon and the Bat punches
from the regular catty

I almost forgot, I did dry emboss the Candy Wrapper with
the Big Shot Wall Paper embossing folder.

Ornament Punch

Don't forget the ornament punch this Christmas season.  SU
sells several sets that coordinate with this punch.  This combination
makes it easy to crank out those Christmas cards!

This set uses Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, Real Red and Crumb Cake.
This ornament set, Delightful Decorations is found on page 35 of
the main catty.

A Big Shot embossing folder was used to add texture to the card base
and layered portions of the card.

I did not have Artichoke taffeta ribbon, so I colored
some white with a marker!

Falling Leaves on Pear Pizzazz

This is a layout that has been on web sites lately.  It is a neat
variation on a traditional card form.

The 3 strips, stamped with the Falling Leaves set are
Cajun Craze, So Saffron and More Mustard.

The Pear Pizzazz card base was rolled with the coordinating
Bright Blessings wheel, inked in VersaMark.

The sentiment layer is a die from the Big Shot
Lots of Tags die.  Tiny Pearls and the
Pear Pizzazz Ribbon were added to accent
the sentiment.

Wicked Cool

This card features the Wicked Cool set on page 23 of the main catalog.
This set is sooooo easy to use and makes cute cards with minimal effort.

In this example, the shoe image is colored with markers, to enable the
color contrast.  Spooky is then stamped with Old Olive.

The Pumpkin card base was run through the Big Shot, with the Holiday Mini
Spider Web embossing folder.  Rhinestone bling was added to the
web and witch shoes.

Lastly, the wide ribbon was gathered with a sparkle brad from the
new Holiday Mini.  Bling and Halloween look good together!

Every Moment Wasabi Saffron

WOW!  Where has the week gone!  I went back to work this week,
so that might be it. Here's another Every Moment card.
Had to do a "yellow" card in honor of my burned lawn.

The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set.
The colors are So Saffron, Real Red and Wild Wasabi with
an aqua painter used to color in the flower
(outlined with gray watercolor pencil).

The Elegant Lines Big Shot folder was used to add texture to the
Wild Wasabi layer.  Pearls were added "just for fun"!  The pearls work
really well when used in conjunction with vanilla or watercolor paper.

Owl Punch T-Shirt

Thought that I'd change things up from watercoloring.

This little owl punch is just the cutest thing.  For this project,
I paired the punch owl with the Smarty Pants set to make
a T-shirt card.   The owl works back to the branch from the 2 Step Bird punch.
The neckline and arm holes are made with circle punches.

The colors for this project are Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist,
Early Espresso and the Marina Mist DSP from the Subtles Paper Pack.

I hope that you enjoy this little guy.

Every Moment 3x3 Flower

This is an Every Moment (page 118) 3x3 gift card that is very quick and easy.
The colors are Delightful Daffodil, Old Olive and Cajun Craze.
I didn't have any Daffodil ribbon, so I colored white 3/8" Taffeta ribbon
with my Daffodil marker.  You just need to let it dry before attaching to your card.
The Old Olive layer was edged with the Eyelet Border Punch (page 201).

You can attach this to a gift, in place of, or in conjunction with a bow.

Deck the Halls Fabric Christmas

This card is an entry for Shelli Gardner's All Things New Creative Challenge.

Most of the products for this card come from the upcoming Holiday Mini.

The Crumb Cake card base and Real Red layers were dry embossed with the
Northern Flurry Big Shot Embossing Folder.

The Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive was applied to the Deck the Halls Designer Fabric,
so that it could be cut and attached to the card.  The scalloped panel was made
with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die.  The letters for "Joy" were made
with the Timeless Type Big Shot Alphabet on page 212 and applied to
a scallop punched from the new 2 3/8" punch.
The strip of red and vanilla fabric was rolled and accented with Pearls.
Nothing like Christmas in August!

Every Moment 3 Flowers

Again, with my new fav set, Every Moment.  In this example, I
stamped the flower 3 times with Black Stazon ink and then colored them with
Always Artichoke (Watercolor Crayon), Not Quite Navy and Rich Razzleberry.

The butterfly was colored with the Artichoke and River Rock.

The "Sweet" sentiment comes from the Fabulous Phrases set on page 149.
I cut "sweet" out with the Medium Jewelry Punch and tied it to the
focal image with linen thread.   This focal image was cut out with the
NEW Scallop Squares Duo Big Shot Die that will be released September 1st,
in the new Holiday Mini.   It pairs so nicely with the Scallop Square Die
on page 207 of the main catty.

The Artichoke layer on the card base was dry embossed with the
Big Shot Elegant Lines embossing folder.

AND THEN, WE ADD PEARLS!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I just love our pearls!!

I hope that you enjoy!

Greenhouse Gala Word Play

I've seen a number of projects from the Technostamp Monday
Lunchtime Challenge.    This card is an entry in the TSSC133 Challenge
and is heavily influenced by a card by Mary Brown.
It uses the wonderful Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper and
the Word Play stamp set.

A Marina Mist cardstock base was embossed with the Big Shot
Elegant Lines Embossing folder.

The Word Play Sentiment was colored with Markers, to enable
emphasis of different parts of this stamp.

Lastly, embellishments included the Pear Pizzazz Ribbon
and Rhinestones.

just believe

This is a case of a layout by Silke Ledlow.   I used the wonderful new set,
Just Believe.  The colors are White, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight,
and Pear Pizzazz.
I didn't have ribbon to match the Daffodil, so I used my marker to
color a strip of White Organza Ribbon.  It is soooo easy to
get just the ribbon color you want with your markers.
Lastly, I added Rhinestones to add some "pop".
