Stamp Off Beautiful You Sketch

As February speeds by, Buffy, Susan and I
are back for another Stamp Off Challenge.

This week, we have a sketch challenge, which is
something that I think all 3 of us enjoy.  It offers lots of
freedom in terms of stamp set and color, so you can pull
out product that gets your creative juices going.
On Wednesday, I posted a card that follows this sketch,
up to a point.  That was my "warm up" card for this challenge.

I had the urge to use my Stampin' Blends, so this sketch
worked extremely well with the Beautiful You set on
page 141 (annual catalog).   I also love the Sunshine Wishes
Thinlits on page 216, because they are so uplifting.
As you can see, I enhanced the thinlit images by coloring
them a bit with the Stampin' Blends, creating some
ombre effects.  The focal image and butterflies
are mounted on some Wood Textures, because
there is nothing better to layer on!!

I now invite you to hop on over to Buffy and Susan's blogs
so that you can enjoy their creative offerings!

Celebrate Bubble Over Birthday

I was working on our Stamp Off Challenge for this
coming Friday and decided that I liked some components
of the sketch.   So, this is a "preview" of sorts.  You'll
just have to come back on Friday to see what I
am talking about.

I always need masculine cards, so I pulled out the
Bubble Over set, with coordinating Bottles & Bubbles
Framelits Dies (Occasions p 32).   This set of dies has so
many cute components!  I added the FREE SAB Celebrate
die (SAB p 17) to finish off the birthday wishes.

By the way, this card works in either orientation!

Butterfly Basics Fly Home

This card layout is identical to the one that I
posted last Wednesday.  Working with the Petal Passion DSP
makes it so easy to create a focal image and get the
card put together very quickly.  This black and white DSP
makes it easy to coordinate with any color scheme,
by coloring portions in with pencils or markers.

I love this sentiment from Buttefly Basics (annual p 149),
which works perfectly with the little butterfly from
from Flying Home (Occasions p 41).   Both the butterfly
and plant leaves were colored with Stampin' Blends.
