Stamp Off Beautiful Blizzard Serene Garden Sketch

It's another Stamp Off Friday, with Buffy, Susan
and I.  We love sharing our Friday challenges.

This week, we are working on a sketch challenge,
designed by Susan.  Susan has been on a roll when it comes to
designing our challenges!

I really like this sketch, but had to think about which
products would work.  I turned the sketch vertical,
and felt that got the job done.

First, I pulled out my Wood Textures DSP pack (p 191)
because I knew that I wanted kind of a neutral base,
that would not distract from this lovely
Serene Garden (p 166) dove.  I cut the dove out with the
coordinating Garden Scene Framelits (p 217).
The sentiment from Lift Me Up on page 34
worked perfectly with the dove, which was colored
with Stampin Blends.

Finally, I stamped some of the splotches from
Beautiful Blizzard (Holiday Catty p 39).
The swirl behind the dove worked perfectly
with the other elements.  That is one of the
reasons that I adore the Beautiful Blizzard set!
Given all the texture stamps, it's not just for Christmas.

Thank you for stopping by, and now it's time
to click on over to Buffy and Susan's sites,
to check out their challenge cards.

Serene Garden Dandelion Wishes

So this is a little different version of Serene Garden
on page 166.  I used the border leaves to create stems,
and then added individual flowers cut out with the
coordinating Garden Scene Framelits Dies (p 217).
I used the sentiment from Dandelion Wishes (p 118),
layered with the Stitched Shapes Framelets (p 220)
and Layering Circles Framelits on page 218.

I used my fav Granny Apple Green color, with
Stampin' Blends colored flowers.

Country Home Holiday Catalog Reveal

Tis the season... for the new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.
This catalog gets the creative juices flowing,
with Halloween, Fall and Christmas Holiday offerings.
Wednesday is the first day for ordering from this catty!

Country Home, on page 43 of the Holiday catalog,
is hands down, one of my favorites.
Milk cans and antique pitches are all the craze
right now, and I have many memories of these products.
My parents had an 80 woodland in northern Wisconsin
and we hauled drinking water to the property, in milk cans.
I also have some pieces of granite ware, including
a large pitcher just like this one.

I colored the focal image with Stampin' Blends,
which make water coloring and blending a snap!
The DSP comes from the Brights DSP pack
on page 191.
