Stamp Off Star of Light Sketch Challenge

Welcome, welcome to our Friday Stamp Off Challenge.
Today, Buffy Susan and I are enjoying a
delightful sketch challenge.

This is such a fun, easy sketch to work with,
especially if you have larger images or dies.

My project is a sneak peak of products from the
upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.
I could not resist.  It is 55 pages of delightful
stamping goodness!
I love the Star of Light photopolymer set, with coordinating
Starlight Thinlits Dies on page 9 of the upcoming catalog
(going active in September).  Stars are a quintessential Christmas
symbol, so this bundle was right up my alley.
The Starlight Thinlits Dies includes dies for 5 stars,
that can be used as negative space, layered or popped up as
a 3-d star element.  They are so much fun to work with!
The colors on this project included Sweet Sugarplum,
Bermuda Bay and the Copper Foil Sheets on page 47 of the
Holiday Catalog.  I also added 3/8" Sweet Sugarplum
Glitter Ribbon and Fancy Frost Sequins from page 37.
A gathering of Copper Metallic Thread was attached
under the Glitter Ribbon.

I hope that you enjoyed this sneak peak, of Holiday
products, coming soon!

Now pop on over to check out the spectacular
cards offered by Susan and Buffy.

Pun Intended in Dapper Denim

I was drawn to the Pun Intended hostess set on page 200,
because it is cute and quirky.  The images are interesting
and the sayings are very cute.  It works extremely well for
masculine cards, which is a real bonus.  This color scheme,
including Dapper Denim and Crumb Cake is a great combo
for those "boy" cards.

Feather Together in Razzleberr and Sugarplum

When I first saw the new 2016-18 In-Colors, I didn't
immediately embrace the Sweet Surgarplum.  That is, until
I tried it with a few other colors, including Rich Razzleberrry.
It is a perfectly wonderful color combination for two
or three step stamping.

This is Feather Together on page 108.  It enables wonderful
layering, with a photopolymer set that includes some very
nice sentiments. The other bonus with this set, is that
you can create very simple, beautiful cards, quite easily.
