Stamp Off For the Birds Flying Home

Welcome, from Susan, Buffy and myself.
We're glad that you are here to check out
our little challenge.

This week, we are doing a "For the Birds" Challenge.
SU has some beautiful sets, featuring a variety of
birdie goodness.  We hope that you enjoy.

I LOVE the  Flying Home set, on page 41 of the Occasions
catalog.  It is sweet, fun to color and open to many techniques.

In this example, I colored the focal image with
Stampin' Blends and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes
Framelits (annual p 214) and Layering Circles Framelits Dies.
I colored the strip of Petal Passion DSP with
Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  Linen Thread gave it a
bird nest kind of feel.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please hop on over to
see what kind of birdie trouble Buffy and Susan are in!
And no, Buffy and I did not coordinate on our cards.
I'm just glad that Buffy survived her close encounter
with a blackbird!!

Celebrate You Stamparatus Hinge Step

I decided to add one more Stamparatus Hinge step
sample, so that you can see different ways to use
this techique.   This sample uses the Amazing You
stamp set from the SAB offerings, which I am "guessing"
might be in the upcoming 2018-29 annual catalog,
since the Celebrate You Thinlits Dies will be available.
Timeless Textures (p 154) can also be used
with the Hinge Step technique, to help you line up
all of your stamped images.

The other entertaining thing about this card is
that the coffee stain stamp sort of looks like a large "C"
in front of the "celebrate" sentiment.

Sending you Hugs

I got my Stamparatus a while back,
and have played with it just a little.
In this example, I used the Lovely Inside & Out
set (annual p 157) to stamp a series of "HUGS" by
moving the Stamparatus hinge down the device.

For more information on the hinge step
technique, please check out the
Stampin' Up! video below.  The Stamparatus
will be available in the upcoming 2018-19 Annual Catalog

Easter Blessings

The cross is the lightening rod of grace,
that short-circuits God's wrath to Christ,
so that only the light of his love,
remains for believers.
