Stamp Off Punch A Bunch Challenge

I love Fridays, because I get to share it with

my friends Buffy and Susan.  I love their creativity

and our challenge three-some!

 This week, we are doing a punch challenge.

Now, MY interpretation is that Big Shot framelits

and thinlits might also qualify as "punched" components.

Our little Stamp-Off challenges are always open

to interpretation, as it makes things kind of entertaining!

I stressed a bit over this challenge, and then had a 

kind of "breakthrough".  I wanted to use the T-shirt

Builder Framelits Dies, on page 30 (of the Occasions

catalog), but put a more feminine spin on it, given the

lovely, sparkly, (retired) SAB glimmer paper.  After several

attempts, I finally pulled out my Bow Builder punch

on page 188 and punched 3 bow tails.  I'm sorry that 

it's really hard to tell, but the 3 bow tails form the

dress skirt.  The most difficult part of this was attaching

components, as the glimmer paper does not like to

cooperate with adhesive.  I ended up using dimensionals.

The glimmer dress was attached to a Stitched Shapes

framelit layer.  I punched several "dots" to act as 

"floating bubbles".  

If you did not get this FREE SAB glimmer paper,

you can always purchase the Dazzling Diamonds

Glimmer paper on page 175, and color it with 

your re-inkers.

That wonderful sentiment comes from the

So In Love set on page 52 of the Occasions catalog.

The rest was just layers.  I'm pleased to have figured

out a "skirt" option for the T-Shirt Builder Dies!

Now please take the opportunity to enjoy the 

creative ideas offered by Susan and Buffy.

I bet they punched it out of the ballpark!

Nailed It

Nailed it, with the Urban DSP is such a fun combination.

I also love the framelits for cutting out sentiments.

These are nice shapes, 

that fit messages from a variety

of sets.  

Balloon Adventures Balloon on a String

I'm still using the now retired SAB Carried Away

Designer Series paper.  The designs are so striking,

it only takes a couple strips to accent a card.

"As usual", I have used the Balloon Adventures

photopolymer set with coordinating Balloon Pop-Up

Thinlits dies, found on page 5 of the Occasions catalog.

This is just a simple card, appropriate for masculine

or feminine recipient.  What makes is simple to create,

is this great bundle of products, that makes it easy

to get the job done!!

Stamp Off Color Challenge with SAB Paper

Happy Stamp Off Challenge day.

Buffy, Susan and I have a good one for you! 

 

This is a beautiful color challenge.  The only difficulty

is the fact that the Night of Navy color looks

black on a computer screen.  Sadly, cards often look

very different (better) in person.  Part of the issue

may be that I do not have a special set-up for

picture taking.  That involves a light box,

which takes up space!

 

 I took the easy way out on this one!  I used the

FREE Sale-A-Bration Carried Away DSP pack on page 7.

This pack incorporates all of the colors for this challenge.

My sentiment comes from the Balloon Adventures

set on page 5 of the Occasions Catalog.  I used markers

to color the birthday message, which was then cut out

with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and then layered

on to a Tip Top Taupe Layering Circles Framelits scallop.

I love the opportunity to layer stitched and scalloped

elements.  The bow comes from the Pretty Pines

Thinlits Dies, which currently has carried over from

the Holiday catalog.

Open Me Already Balloon Adventures

I use the Balloon Adventures set, with coordinating

Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies a lot (p 5 of the 

Occasions catalog)!  It makes for quick cards for

men, women and kids.  

In this example, I used the die designed for the

inside of cards, and positioned portions on the 

card front.  I layered balloon designs over top.

The box was run through the Hexagons Dynamic

Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on page 47.

I used the Banner Triple Punch on page 186

to create the banner end.   Quick, easy production

of a card for birthdays or special events! 

Stylish Stems Sympathy

The Stylish Stamps Framelits Dies on page 42 of the

Occasions catalog are a brilliant set, that enable both

positive and negative images.  It is a joy to employ different

color combinations and DSP to see what you

can come up with!

The sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases

set on page 49 of the annual catalog.  The DSP

layer can be found on page 174, in the In-Color

Designer Series Paper Stack.
