Color Renovation

There are some changes coming at Stampin' Up!  Trust me, these changes are GREAT!

We learned this week, that SU is changing their ink and paper colors, from Color Families to "Color Collections".   Those of you who are familiar with SU know that we went through a color updating a couple of years ago.  This event will be a little more significant.

SU is going from 4 color families, consisting of 12 colors in each to 4 Color Collections, one of which will be Neutrals. This will be a total of 40 core colors.   This change is to align more closely with industry standards, home decorating and clothing  trends.  Additionally, it eliminates a number of less popular colors that will be retiring (listed farther down).

Several previous in-colors are being brought back and 6 totally new colors will be
added to make the core of 40.

5 new In-Colors will be introduced each year, and they will remain for TWO years, so that there will be 10 additional colors with the Core Color Collections.

I am so sincerely and deeply EXCITED about this change.  I think it is confusing to have 48 colors, plus neutrals, so reducing the SU color collection to 40 simplifies crafting.   Additionally, the industry leans heavily toward a greater selection of neutrals, so that will now be in place.

Lastly, the Color Collection offers such a rich, coordinated group of products, that I think it will improve the look of my projects.      New color kits will become available July 1 for customers.  There is no hurry to leap to this change...  you can leap or ease in, as you desire.
