Welcome to the April Showers Springtime Hop!
I sure hope that you enjoyed Buffy's wonderful projects.
I elected to go with a "flower theme",
given all those April showers. We've gotten
so much rain, everything is green and growing.
The inspiration for my first project comes
from Stampin' Up! This is a replica of a project
displayed on a SU magazine.
The flower is made out of watercolor paper,
with each petal punched with the RETIRING Blossom Petals
Builder punch. I ran them under a water faucet to
wet them, sponged them with Cajun Craze ink
and folded them around a paint brush to produce their shape.
Once all of the petals were dry, I used a glue gun to
assemble the flower. A Designer Builder Brad
was attached to the center with glue dots.
Dazzling Details were added to the petals
and flower center, to replicate dew.
Below is a close-up of this flower.
Sets: French Foliage, Just Believe
Colors: Water Color paper, Cajun Craze,
Brushed Silver
Accessories: Blossom Petals Builder Punch,
Designer Builder Brad, Sponge, Dazzling Details,
Finishing Touches Edgelit
This is a second flower, made in the same way.
Colors: Watercolor paper, Very Vanilla,
Garden Green, Early Espresso
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder,
Designer Builder Brad
These are VERY bulky flowers, so you won't
be sending them through the post office. They do, however,
make dandy little cards to hand deliver.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
Now hop on over to Kathe's very creative blog. She's
waiting to show you some darling projects!

Jackie, they're so pretty - I love the Dazzling Dewdrop Details!
Gorgeous, Jackie! I love these flowers - and your dewdrops add so much!
These are beautiful, Jackie! The dewdrops add so much, and they're so lifelike!
Absolutely love your flowers. I tried some using smaller flower petals. I love your cards, more than the one in SS.
I love how you made your flowers.
Love your flowers, even better than the original inspiration, just beautiful.
What gorgeous flowers! Think I may put some onto the teacher gifts I'm making!
