Stamp-Off Sketch Challenge: In the Meadow

I'm pretty excited today!!  I get to welcome you
to the Stamp-Off blog hop.

I'm hopping with some lovely, brilliant and
delightfully talented ladies; my friends Buffy and Susan.

We don't have a "regular" blog hop schedule or day,
we just hop when we pull things together.  A Stamp-Off
kind of surprise, because you never know what you will get.

Today, we are doing a sketch challenge.
It's a straight forward sketch that allows for a small or large amount of layering and accessorizing.  It can also work for
clean card crafters, as well as those who enjoy vintage style cards.
My card is a bit of both.

My card features the In the Meadow set on page 28 of the
Occasions Mini catalog.  I find this set so incredibly
flexible and beautiful.  It also lends itself to a variety
of techniques.  In this case, I used emboss resist,
sponging Pear Pizzazz, Pink Pirouette and Marina Mist
around the embossed image.  I love this color combination
because it gives me the feeling of springtime, which I
am missing right now!
I kept the background pretty simple,  because I wanted that focal image to really stand out.  I debated using a textured
embossing folder on the Pink Pirouette layer, but decided not to.

So that's my sample.  Now please check out what
my talented friends, Buffy and Susan have done with this sketch.
You will totally enjoy their handiwork!

This is a beautiful card, Jackie. I love the colors. They are so soft and springy! It makes me want Spring to arrive soon!

This is so gorgeous, Jackie! I love the "emboss resist" sponging - especially the sort colors you used, and the way you used the doily. Very pretty! I'm ready for spring, too. We had snow again this morning. Fortunately, just flurries, and it's over now.
