Stamp Off Embossing Paste Challenge

Thank you for joining Buffy, Susan and I for
our final August challenge.  We are also announcing
a change in our challenge format.   We will be shifting
to a bi-monthly challenge schedule.  We have discovered
that we are all pretty busy, with grandchildren and travel.
We need to back off on our challenges,
so that we can still enjoy the fun of sharing ideas with you,
while fitting in the rest of life in between!
This challenge is going to be fun because we are featuring
the NEW Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste, found on
page 201, along with the coordinating Pattern Party
Decorative Masks and Palette Knives.
I decided to really pour on the texture with this challenge.
I used the brick pattern with the Embossing Paste, to create
a background.  I did a little sponging to pump it up.
The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Pack layer has such
vibrant colors that they pop off the card.   Since I really
appreciate those colors, I made them the color scheme for
this card.

I went back to the same pattern in the Paper Pack,
to create the Flourish Thinlits (p 216) central floral image.
This die cut enabled you to see the textured brick wall
in the background.  The sentiment was selected from the
Thoughtful Banners set on page 66.  This just looked
like a celebration card!
I can't wait for you to check out what Susan and
Buffy have done with this challenge.  This Embossing
Paste enables so many techniques, that you will
likely learn some different uses for this product.

Just a final reminder; we will not be posting a Stamp Off
challenge next week.  Look for us again on September 8th!

Great card, Jackie. I love all the texture, and especially the way you brought the patterned paper back in for the die-cut. Sponging the Embossing Paste really made it pop.
