Bird Banter Perched on Tranquil Tulips

There's been a lull in birdie cards, so here's my latest.
I sure hope that the Bird Banter set (Occasions p 42)
makes it into the new catty, because it is just so much fun!
Yesterday, the beautiful Host set,  Tranquil Tulips
(annual p 223) sitting on my desk.  One glance told me that a parrot
would look just dandy perched on those leaves.
In order to match the parrot coloring to the Peekaboo Peach
card stock, I blended Pink Pirouette and Light Calypso Coral
Stampin' Blends.
The resulting color matched quite well.

The parrot is coated with Wink of Stella, but it is very hard to see.
I also added a layer of Petal Passion DSP (Occasions p 23)
because it is simply perfect with these cute birds.

The sentiment is placed inside the card, over a bit of ribbon.
Sometimes it is nice to embellish the interior of the card,
as an added surprise.

This is so sweet, Jackie! I love the birdie perched on the tulip leaves. We've been watching birds in our backyard all week. We usually have a ton of robins, but lately we have a gorgeous cardinal and some doves as well. No parrots, though, except at our local nursery. They have about 15, I think. Amelia loves to go there and just watch them play. We take an umbrella, just in case...

I love it!! I see birds perched on branches that I wouldn't think would hold them - but I guess hollow bones don't weigh much! :) I love the colour blending you did for the bird - great card, Jackie!! It made me smile
