Stamp Off Out With the Old Work of Art

As we approach the end of May, it is time
for Susan, Buffy and I say goodbye to some
retiring sets.

It is a bit like saying goodbye to an old friend.
There is often pain involved in shelving sets,
that we have spent time with.
Not that we can't continue to use them, but we generally
post current Stampin' Up! product (most of the time)!

One of my favorite retiring sets is Work of Art, on page 151.
Looking at this set reminded me of the
Painted with Love Specialty DSP in the Occasions
Catalog (pages 18-19).  I knew that I could create a similar
look, by stamping the swish stamp in different colors, and then
adding gold embossed swishes.  The Work of Art swishes
allow you to create lots of different backgrounds and moods.

For this example, I used the returning Flirty Flamingo with
retiring Peekaboo Peach.  Hints of black work very well
with these colors, including the gold embossing.
I added a bit of Black Baker's Twine and this
card was complete.

Here are some past posts that use this
"swish background approach":

I appreciate your stop at my blog and know that you
will enjoy the ideas offered by Buffy and Susan!

My gosh. Your background is beautiful! It does look like DSP. Gorgeous!

This is BEAUTIFUL, Jackie! I actually thought it was the DSP at first. So clever - and a lovely card.

OMG - I thought this WAS the DSP! Jackie, this is incredible! I absolutely love it, and the black is the perfect neutral against the colours.
