Tropical Chic with Tea Together

Today, Susan, Buffy and I are celebrating Mother's Day.
I am so blessed to still have my little Mom around,
so that I can visit with her when the urge strikes.

For Mom's day, I had to try a new technique, because
she notices these things!  This is a floating card, using
Press and Seal the Tropical Chic set,
which will be returning for 2019-20.

I will say that this technique was a challenge for me.
I stamped multiples of the foliage using my Stamparatus
(thank goodness for this product).  I arranged the
foliage and then applied the Press and Seal.  Then, cut out
the layer, using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and
Stitched Shapes Dies (so the center portion can be used
for another card).   The problem comes when you try to
remove the Press and Seal.  It has a tendency to pull
off the top layer of the foliage, so that I ruined several
images.  I stamped extra foliage and glued it over top.

After making this card, I did a bit of research.
Others suggest that you apply the Press and Peal to
your pants or a towel, several times, to reduce the stickiness.
I haven't tried that yet, but am pretty sure that will enable
me to have more success with this technique!

Anyway, thank you for reading along and now please
click on over to see what Buffy and Susan have done
for their Mother's Day cards!

This is stunning, Jackie! I love the bright colours, and the floating aspect is so cool! I'll have to try this technique - and use your tip about de-sticking the Press & Seal :)

Awesome card, Jackie! I've been wanting to try the floating frame technnique, but don't have press & seal (and it sounded like a lot of work...). Yours is GORGEOUS! I love the colors, and that stamp set is perfect for it. Thanks for the tip for reducing the stickiness!
