September Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop

Don't you just love the Wacky Watercooler Hop?!
Kath's hop projects were wonderful.  If you missed
her blog, click to go back.

This month, we are creating projects for
Fall, including Halloween or Thanksgiving.

My first project is a Fall Banner.
I love the ease with which banner components can be
created with the Party Pennants Die (p 232).  These
pennants can be used for cards, banners or gift tags.
The other thing that I am having a ball with is the
Wondrous Wreath set with coordinating Framelits
(p 9 of the Holiday Mini).  These wreaths
can be used for almost any season or event, by simply
changing the color combinations.

I used the Little Letters Framelits (p 228) to create
the "FALL" letters, which fit perfectly within the wreaths.

The Fall Fest set (p 46 of the Holiday Mini), with coordinating
framelits enabled a scattering of leaves that accented the wreaths.
Woodgrain texture was added to the banners, as well as sentiments
from the Good Greetings (Hostess special offer) set.
This is really a pretty simple project, once you organize the "bits".

My second project is just a simple, elegant way to wish friends
a Happy Thanksgiving!
I paired an old favorite, Lovely As A Tree with
Work of Art to create a fall watercolor impression.
The sentiment comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes (p 18).

I hope that you have enjoyed my projects.
Now hop on over to Terri's blog to see her wonderful creations!

Jackie, I love that card using the lovely as a tree with the work of art. It's similar to the one you did with flower fest but perfect for fall. Now you'll have to do a winter one too... :) I'll have to CASE it!

Hi Jackie, thanks for being part of this blog hop. You have a lovely Fall banner which I will gladly CASE. Whatever did you use for the background? It's very effective. The Wondrous Wreath set really is fantastic, isn't it? I love its versatility. Each time one uses different colours, it's a whole new wreath and look. They're especially striking against the woodgrain embossing of the pennants. You've used two of my favourite stamp sets for your card: Lovely as a Tree and Work of Art. I love the simplicity of the card and the colours you've used. TFS

hi jackie, your banner introduced me to a product i didn't realize we had. i mean, seriously...how many times have i been through the catalog & i never noticed the pennants die?? your banner & wreath are awesome & now i have something else to add to my wish list.

your card is just my style...clean & simple. i wonder if 'work of art' will be the next 'lovely as a tree' in terms of longevity...i hope that hangs around for a long time! tfs your creativity as your designs always inspire me ~ smiles, karen ;-)
