January Wacky Watercooler Mini Hop #2

http://wackywatercoolerstamping.blogspot.com
Welcome to the second Wacky Watercooler hop this month!
We're starting January 2016 off with a bang.  There is just
so much "stampin goodness" in the new Occasions and
SAB Minis, that we had lots of projects to show off!

If you're following the blog circuit,
then you've likely arrived from Marsha's site.
I bet that you enjoyed her lovely projects.

If you missed them, then hop on back for a look.

My first project uses the very sweet A Nice Cuppa set with
coordinating Cups and Kettle Framelit Dies,
on page 34-35 of the Occasions Mini. For the table,
I inked up the Hardwood
stamp on page 128 with Soft Suede ink and stamped it on the
same color paper.  The legs were cut out with Handpicked
Framelits on page 174.  The Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim
made a nice little table runner.  The Pink Pirouette card base
was embossed with the Elegant Dots Folder on page 174.

My second card used stamps from Timeless Textures
and In the Meadow (p 28 of the Occasions Mini).
Can you see where I've used the Timeless Textures????
First, I sponged Hello Honey and Only Olive ink on a
WW Lots of Layer card stock piece.  Then, I spritzed water
on the stamp from the Timeless Textures.  I wiped the edges
of the stamp to minimize huge drips, and then stamped it
on the sponged layer.  I repeated until I had little dots (and a few big drips) of water over my layer and let them dry.
My goal was to mimic the dots on the back of the fawn.
Finally, I stamped the image from In the Meadow.

I also inked up my Boho Chic embossing folder before
sending that layer through the Big Shot.

I thank you for checking out my samples.
Now please hop on over to see Kath's wonderful
projects.  We're so happy to have so many talented artists!

Jackie, as always, your projects show your creativity. I love the way you found a way to use various Stampin' Up! framelits and products to make that cute table with the lace runner. What a perfect spot to put your teapot! And the Elegant Dots embossing folder gives it a real vintage look. Your second project, however, really resounds with me. The In the Meadow stamp set was the first one on my pre-order. I fell in love with the sweetness of the images. What a great idea to use the Timeless Textures and sponging to add colour. The Burlap ribbon and Boho Chic embossing folder are the perfect finishing touches. Thanks so much for being part of our blog hop.

You capture such a great vintage feel with your first card. For some reason it reminds me of a sweet little lady sitting down to have tea! Nice job!
Love you creative process to the In the Meadow card!

Very pretty and yes, I can see your texture. I think you accomplished mimicking those spots. I have both sets and haven't used them yet.

These are gorgeous, Jackie. I love the little table and table runner - and your use of the Timeless Textures is brilliant. I love the water drips - and it does look like the fawn. So clever.

Jackie, you really are inspiring. The table construction in your first card is a marvel. I love how you used the fawn's spots as inspiration in your second card and used the Timeless Textures to create a beautiful background. Thanks for sharing.

Wow Miss Jackie. What wonderful tips and tricks. Very inspiring indeed. Love, love, love the tea table idea. Of course that cute teapot needs a table and a table runner. Brilliant to use the die for the table legs. Loving that Timeless textures though I'm getting a tad worried that SU may be setting it's retirement sights on Gorgeous Grunge. We really need them both right? Thanks for sharing the inspiration and the fun. Hugs and love - J.

So I'm looking at your teacup card and thinking about the table you made, and I can't quite figure out those legs, even though they are so familiar...of course! Handpicked Framelits--how totally clever! And such pretty texture on your second card--really pretty! Very nice cards, Jackie!

Very Vintage, the hardest kind of card, you are a hard act to follow.
