Paradise Palms with Wave of the Ocean DSP

This card is a companion to the one posted Monday.  I used
the Palms dies (Mini, page 25) to cut elements out of the
Waves of the Ocean DSP.  I added the sentiment from the
Paradise Palms set.  The card is finished off with a couple
of Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels.

I am happy to announce that Paradise Palms and the
coordinating dies will be in the new 2022-23 catalog.

DSP Pattern with Sharing Sunshine

This card was great fun, although it might give some people
(Susan) hives.  The technique suggests that you make tick
marks on the back of the card stock, so that you can line strips
up in an orderly fashion.  Bah humbug on that idea.  "Random
stripping" is so much more fun.

I cut strips of Pattern Party (page 171) and In Good Taste DSP
into 3/4 inch strips (confession: some were larger).  Then I
started in the center and glued them in a somewhat circular
pattern, being sure to cover up ends of the card stock.

I added a simple sentiment from the Sharing Sunshine set
on the cover.  Since the outside cover was a bit "crazy",
I added a slightly sarcastic comment,
from Light Hearted Lines to the inside.

Quiet Meadow with Meadow Dies

This is one of my favorite techniques, in which you
punch a shape in a scrap of paper, and use Blending Brushes
to shade inside the shape.  For this card, I added a flower from
the Meadow Dies, cut out of the Waves of the Ocean DSP.
The sentiment comes from the Quiet Meadow set.

Grassy Grove with New Horizons DSP

The card features the New Horizons DSP.  The New Horizons DSP
is great fun because you can combine it with elements from other
stamp sets, especially backgrounds.   I added the trees
from the Grassy Grove bundle to this card.  I used the Rectangle Stitched dies to cut out the sentiment from Calming Camellia.
Finally, I added a couple of Genial Gems to perk the card up.

Retired Kits with Hello Friendly

I've been trying to reorganize and condense my crafting
area.  That means taking rubber stamps off blocks, donating
some sets to a local school and using retired kits to create
some cards for a friend.

For these projects, I used sentiments from the newly retired
Hello Friendly SAB set.  I love those sentiments, which
work for a variety of situations.

Waves of the Ocean with Sea Life Dies

I love the fact that the Waves of the Ocean DSP works
well with a variety of current and retired SU products.
In this example, I used the Sea Life dies, on page 160.  I added
Granny Apple Green color with a  Blending Brush, taking
a cue from colors on the DSP.  The tail of the seahorse is
hooked around a strip of White Frayed Ribbon (page 33 in
the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalog).

The sentiment was created with a Label Maker (P-Touch).
I get frustrated trying to produce white embossing on black
cardstock, so for me, the labels work well.  I attached the label
to a thin strip of cardstock, so that I could use liquid glue.
This allowed me to move the sentient around, rather
than sticking it directly to the DSP, which might stick crooked
