Lift Me Up Challenge Card

I enjoy sketch challenges, and this Fab Friday Stampin Challenge

is a really great one!  I like the simplicity of it!

I also added components of the Paper Craft Crew 

Tic Tac Toe Challenge, following a diagonal line that included Shabby Chic, Crumpled paper and Collage.

 The colors for this card include Tempting Turquoise,

Sweet, Sugarplum, Soft Suede and Whisper White.

I used DSP from the Festive Birthday pack on page 173

for the clouds and balloon.  The banner was trimmed with

the Banner Triple Punch on page 186.

I used the bottom portion of the balloon die from the

Up & Away Thinlits Dies on page 10 of the Occasions catalog,

under the sentiment. 

 I stamped the clouds and cupcake frosting on the 

Soft Suede, then spritzed it with water, crumpled it and

then dried it.   I hadn't done that technique in a while and

had forgotten how much I like that look. 

 

Stamp Off Balloon Pop-Up Sketch

Welcome to our Stamp Off Challenge, with Jackie

and the grandmas (Buffy and SusanX2) ☺☺☺

Today we are doing a sketch challenge.  I like this

challenge, as it's very straight forward and works with

lots of sets and framelits.

I went to some wonderful products from the Occasions Catalog.

The balloons were created with the Balloon Pop-up Thinlits

Dies and the Balloon Bouquet Punch on page 187 of the

regular catalog.  I grabbed the Urban Underground DSP on

page 47 (Occasions) and some retired black glimmer paper.

Frozen Treats 3 Cones

The Cool Treats set, with bundled Frozen Treats Framelits

Dies (on pages 32-3 of the Occasions Catalog) makes

delightful cards for kids or adults.  I also find that the

sentiments are gender neutral and work well for cards!

Lastly, I really like the size of these images.  You can use

one treat on a card, or multiple images, in order to

create the card sketch desired.

Hey, Chick, One More Time

Periodically, I HAVE TO post a Hey, Chick (p 17) card.

These chickens are the greatest, and not just because 

they are FREE during the SAB period. 

The new Watercolor Pencils (Occasions p 24) make

this set even more appealing, because you can blend

and play with color.  It just never gets old!

Stamp Off Swan Lake Animal Challenge

Back for another Stamp Off challenge, eh!  

Good to have you.  Susan, Buffy and I are in

an animalistic kind of mood today.

  

 Our challenge is to integrate an animal into today's project.

  Great fun, since SU offers a ton of animal

and insect products.  The challenge is, which to

pick for this project.

 For some reason, I had the idea of embossing the Swan Lake

image on black card stock.  I love the idea of black and gold.

Next, I grabbed the wonderful Urban Underground Specialty

Designer Series paper on page 47 of the Occasions catalog.

I felt like this sheet kind of mimicked water ripples, so

it went well with the swan.  I didn't need a wedding card,

so used the "kind and caring heart" sentiment. 

The FREE SAB Metallic Ribbon on page 11 is

delicious and works well with the card colors.

Beautiful You on Ovals

It is an understatement to say that I pick up the Beautiful You

set (Occasions page 24) often.  Hopefully I'm not turning people

off, given how often I use it!  In this example, I used the

Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and Layering Ovals

Framelits to layer the focal image.  Per previous samples

the dress and umbrella were stamped with images from

the Awesomely Artistic set.

 

I embossed the Island Indigo layer with the Boho Chic

Textured Embossing Folder.
