Of the Earth Beate Challenge #93

I've mentioned internet sketch challenges several times. Some web sites offer a card or scrapbook sketch, inviting stampers to use the image to produce their own "interpretation". This sketch challenge comes from Beate Johns and you can see the sketch here.

My interpretation uses a Kraft card base, which was folded and then run thru the Big Shot Scallop Square die (so that the top fold is below the cutting blade and remains in tact). Bella Bleu designer paper (page 162) was layered on vanilla card stock. The flower image from the Level 1 hostess set "Of the Earth" was stamped on Bella Bleu DP with Not Quite Navy Ink. This image and the Not Quite Navy layer were cut out with the 1 3/4 inch punch and the Circle Scissors Plus (page 191). "Happy" from Define Your Life (page 150) was stamped on DP and layered on a piece of Not Quite Navy that was trimmed with the scallop edge punch. I LOVE Define Your Life because it works for both cards and scrapbooking. Lastly, a Kraft corduroy button (page 181) and Kraft taffeta ribbon accessories were added.

My friend and stampin buddy Ms Mary Brown is also participating in this sketch challenge. If you want to check out her card, click here.

Have a great Monday
Jackie

Hey, there, Jackie! Glad to see you have a blog. I just recently got Define Your Life (SAB freebies) and the Of the Earth hostess set, so I feel a CASE coming on!
